Milestone Rewards are out, and Bilt Cash is (soon to be) in. Starting January 1, 2026, Bilt Rewards will make a change to its incentive program by sunsetting one type of bonus and replacing it with another. Here’s a look at what’s changing next year so you’re not surprised when it happens.

Bilt Cash to Replace Milestone Rewards
Like many other rewards programs, Bilt Rewards offers incentives to keep members engaged and spending money on linked cards. Right now, those incentives come in the form of Milestone Rewards, which let you choose a benefit for every 25,000 Bilt Points you earn.
But even though Milestone Rewards only launched in February 2024, it’s already time for something new. Starting January 1, 2026, Bilt Cash will replace Milestone Rewards as the new way to earn extra rewards on your program engagement.

What's Bilt Cash?
So, what’s Bilt Cash? It’s pretty much what it sounds like, and it works similarly to Milestone Rewards in their current form.
For every 25,000 Bilt Points you earn, you’ll receive $50 in Bilt Cash automatically deposited into your account. Bilt Cash will exist alongside Bilt Points but serve a different purpose. You can use it to purchase upgraded status for Rent Day transfer bonuses, offset bills at Bilt Neighborhood restaurants, unlock early access to experiences, and more.
That said, it’s still too early to know how exciting Bilt Cash will actually be. Outside of straightforward redemptions such as using $10 in Bilt Cash at face value with partner merchants, Bilt hasn’t revealed what upgraded status or other redemptions will cost or whether there will be additional ways to earn Bilt Cash.
If it turns out you need to reach multiple milestones to earn enough for certain more exciting redemptions, the new system could feel even less rewarding than Milestone Rewards. But this all remains to be seen, and Bilt’s initial announcement suggests more details will be shared before the end of the year. Until then, we'll try to reserve our judgment.

What will happen to my active or unused Milestone Rewards?
If you’ve unlocked Bilt Milestone Rewards in 2025, don’t worry. Any rewards you claim before the end of the year will remain active until they expire or until you’ve earned the maximum number of points available for that Milestone Reward.
If you still have unused Milestone Rewards by the end of the year, they’ll expire at the end of the year. So, now’s a good time to use any un-activated ones you have to keep them from expiring.
Bottom Line
Changes are coming to the Bilt Rewards Milestone Rewards program on January 1, 2026, when Bilt Cash will officially replace Milestone Rewards.
Instead of earning 25,000 Bilt Points and choosing a temporary perk like 2X points at grocery stores or gas stations for 30 days, you’ll receive $50 in Bilt Cash. What’s still unclear is exactly how you’ll be able to use that Bilt Cash and whether the more exciting redemptions Bilt is teasing will be realistic for the average member.
That said, our general opinion on Milestone Rewards will likely carry over to Bilt Cash. It’s a nice bonus if you earn it naturally through your usual activity, but not something worth chasing on its own. But we're happy to revisit this once the new program officially launches.
