As you might’ve heard by now, Rove Miles is one of our new favorite rewards programs. One big reason why is the value you can unlock with these miles. And you don’t need a huge balance to find incredible deals either. In this post, I’ll show you five examples of cheap flights you can book with Rove Miles, starting at just 88 miles (nope, that’s not a typo) each way.

5 Cheap Flights You Can Book With Rove Miles
Everyone loves cheap flights, and there are plenty you can book with Rove Miles. If you haven’t joined this free-to-join program yet, you absolutely should. New members can earn 1,500 bonus miles just for signing up with the AwardWallet referral link. As you’ll quickly see, that’s nearly enough to fly to Europe (and back) several times over.

Europe flights from just 88 miles per way
In early November 2025, Rove Miles added Miles & More as a transfer partner. This is particularly exciting since Miles & More isn’t a partner of other major transferable rewards programs, so redemption values haven’t been inflated. In fact, you can unlock impressive value with just a handful of Miles & More miles.
One of the best examples is flying between the U.S. and Europe in economy starting at just 88 miles plus taxes and fees. While you can easily search for award availability through Seats.aero, here are a few sample routes you can book:
- Tampa (TPA) to Zurich (ZRH) on Edelweiss: 88 miles + €180.32 (~$210)
- Charlotte (CLT) to Munich (MUC) on Lufthansa: 88 miles + €180.32 (~$210)
- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to Frankfurt (FRA) on Lufthansa: 88 miles + €180.32 (~$210)

If you’re willing to spend a few more miles, you can fly routes like Los Angeles (LAX) or Seattle (SEA) to Munich (MUC) for 3,163 Miles & More miles plus €158.39 (~$184). Premium cabins are also surprisingly affordable in terms of mileage requirements, though they do come with higher taxes and fees.
An annoying aspect of Miles & More is that you need at least 1,500 miles in your Miles & More account to book an award. So, if your balance drops below that threshold after your first booking, you may need to move more miles over to book future awards.
Rove Miles transfer to Miles & More at a 1:1 ratio and start at 2,000 miles (then in increments of 1,000).

United flights from 3,500 miles per way
Another unique Rove Miles transfer partner you can use for cheap flights is Air India’s Maharaja Club. This program is worth paying attention to because Air India is a Star Alliance member — alongside United. And you can book United flights through Air India's loyalty program.
Short-haul economy flights start at just 3,500 Maharaja Club points, or 7,000 in business class. For example, that’s enough for a flight between Chicago (ORD) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU). The only catch is that these rates apply only to flights under 600 miles.

If you want to fly farther than 600 miles, you can still do that — it’ll just cost a few more Rove Miles. Here’s the award chart we’ve found applies to United Airlines flights booked through Air India’s Maharaja Club:
| Distance | Economy | First Class |
|---|---|---|
| Under 600 miles | 3,500 | 7,000 |
| 600-1,000 miles | 5,500 | 11,000 |
| 1,000-1,500 miles | 7,500 | 15,000 |
| 1,500-4,000 miles (including West Coast/Denver to Hawaii) | 13,500 | 27,000 |
| 4,000+ miles (including Chicago/East Coast to Hawaii) | 30,000 | 60,000 |
Rove Miles transfer to Air India at a 1:1 ratio, starting at 2,000 miles and then in increments of 100.
Transcontinental flights from 5,000 miles per way (or less)
You can also unlock great value with Rove Miles without transferring them to a partner program. For example, you can book transcontinental flights for as few as 5,000 Rove Miles or even less.
How do you do this? It’s simple. You book a paid flight through Rove Miles and redeem miles instead of paying cash.
These redemptions rates are slightly variable, but you can usually get between 1.3¢ and 1.4¢ per Rove Mile toward the cost of your flight. And that’s precisely how you can redeem just 5,000 miles for a Frontier flight between Boston (BOS) and Los Angeles (LAX), or 7,500 miles for nonstop United or American Airlines flights across the country.
Even better, these bookings are treated as paid flights, so you’ll earn airline miles if you attach your frequent flyer number to the reservation.

Domestic American Airlines flights from 6,000 miles per way
Speaking of cheap flights on American Airlines, remember that Rove Miles also transfer 1:1 to Etihad Guest. Thanks to Etihad’s partnership with American Airlines, you can book short-haul routes under 500 miles for just 6,000 Etihad Guest miles plus taxes and fees.
There are more than 1,000 routes where this pricing applies. For example, you could fly between Wilmington (ILM) and New York City (LGA) for just 6,000 Etihad Guest miles.

The good news is that you don't have to remember this sweet spot. Just search your flights through Rove, and it will show live award availability — labeled as a “Transfer Booking.”
Etihad’s distance-based award chart for American Airlines flights can also work to your advantage on longer segments. For reference, here’s the chart:
| Distance Range | Economy | Premium Economy | Business | First |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0-500 | 6,000 | 7,500 | 20,000 | 35,000 |
| 501-1,000 | 12,000 | 13,000 | 25,000 | 40,000 |
| 1,001-1,500 | 15,000 | 19,000 | 30,000 | 45,000 |
| 1,501-2,000 | 23,000 | 25,000 | 40,000 | 54,000 |
| 2,001-2,500 | 28,000 | 31,000 | 50,000 | 67,000 |
| 2,501-3,000 | 34,000 | 37,000 | 60,000 | 80,000 |
| 3,001-4,000 | 45,000 | 49,000 | 80,000 | 107,000 |
| 4,001-5,000 | 60,000 | 62,000 | 100,000 | 134,000 |
| 5,001-6,000 | 67,000 | 74,000 | 120,000 | 160,000 |
| 6,000+ | 75,000 | 90,000 | 140,000 | 200,000 |
Hawaii flights from 9,500 miles per way (or less)
Last but not least, here’s another example of how you can get great value from Rove Miles on paid bookings. On flights to the Hawaiian islands, you can redeem Rove Miles toward the cost of a paid ticket and avoid the hassle of transferring to partners and digging for award availability.
For instance, you can take your pick of airlines flying between San Francisco (SFO) and Lihue (LIH) and redeem 9,500 Rove Miles toward the cost of a paid ticket. These redemptions unlock up to 1.42¢ per Rove Mile worth of value.

The catch is that the cheapest rates are often for basic economy tickets. If you’d rather avoid basic economy, you can still book higher fare classes through Rove. Comparing your options, you might redeem just 13,500 Rove Miles with no taxes or fees for a United flight between SFO and LIH in the main cabin…

…instead of 15,200 United MileagePlus miles plus $5.60 in taxes and fees for the same flight.

Easy Ways to Earn More Rove Miles
If you want to keep earning Rove Miles after signing up, you’ll need to actively use the program. Rove isn’t a transfer partner of any credit card rewards program, so your options are limited to booking paid hotels and flights through Rove or using its branded shopping portal. Rove’s earning multipliers are notoriously generous, so you’ll build a sizable balance relatively quickly.
Rove also runs occasional promotions that award bonus miles. For example, if you haven’t booked a hotel yet, you can earn 5,000 Rove Miles when you spend $500 or more and apply the promo code “AwardWallet.” This particular offer is expected to stick around indefinitely.
Bottom Line
If you like booking cheap flights, you’ll love the Rove Miles rewards program. From budget carriers to long-haul flights to Europe, there are several ways to unlock great value with even a small balance of Rove Miles. And if you haven’t signed up yet, now’s a perfect time to do it and claim your easy bonus miles.
