It's almost as if Emirates' primary goal over the past year has been to upset points and miles enthusiasts. In the latest update, Condor-operated flights will no longer be eligible to earn Emirates Skywards miles effective May 1, 2026. However, it appears that you'll still be able to use your Skywards miles to book these flights.
Here's what we know so far.
Emirates to Drop Condor as an Earning Partner
An important notice was added to the dedicated Condor partner page on Emirates' website with the following information on February 17, 2027:
“Condor accrual proposition will cease effective 01 May 2026. Members will earn Skywards Miles on eligible Condor flights flown up to and including 30 April 2026. Flights flown on or after 01 May 2026 will not be eligible for Skywards Miles accrual. Members may submit retro‑claims for Condor flights flown up to 30 April 2026 within six months of the travel date.”
Starting May 1, 2026, you will no longer earn Emirates Skywards miles on Condor flights. Through April 30, 2026, though, you'll earn at the current rates:
- Economy: up to 0.75 Skywards Miles per mile flown
- Premium economy: up to 1 Skywards Miles per mile flown
- Business: up to 1.25 Skywards Miles per mile flown
Remember that you'll need to provide your Skywards number when you check in at the airport to earn miles on Condor flights before this change takes effect.
No changes to Skywards redemptions on Condor (for now)
However, there's no update to indicate that the partnership between Emirates and Condor is ending entirely. There's still a section on the partner page showing that you can book Condor flights for as few as 6,000 Skywards miles. Remember that Emirates publishes an award chart for Condor bookings.

So, although you won't earn Skywards miles on Condor flights, you'll still be able to redeem them across Condor's network of more than 90 destinations throughout Africa, Europe, North America, the Indian Ocean, and the Caribbean.

Bottom Line
Thanks to numerous devaluations of transfer ratios from major point currencies to Emirates, it's become increasingly difficult to earn Emirates Skywards miles. And starting May 1, 2026, you will not earn any miles on flights operated by Germany's Condor Airlines. Luckily, you can still redeem your Skywards miles for Condor flights using a distance-based award chart, at least for now.
