Capital One just launched a 30% transfer bonus to one of its longest-standing transfer partners, and it's one we've never seen before. Through July 31, 2026, you can transfer Capital One miles to EVA Air and receive 975 Infinity MileageLands miles for every 1,000 Capital One miles you transfer. While that's still not quite a 1:1 transfer ratio, it's 30% better than the standard 4:3 ratio.

But does that make this transfer bonus worth taking advantage of? Let's take a look at the details.

Capital One to EVA Air Transfer Bonus Key Terms

  • The promotion is valid for transfers through July 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
  • Receive a 30% bonus when you transfer Capital One miles to EVA Air Infinity MileageLands.
  • Capital One miles typically transfer to EVA Air at a 4:3 ratio — meaning you'll receive 975 Infinity MileageLands miles per 1,000 Capital One miles transferred.
  • You must transfer at least 1,000 miles, but then in increments of 100 Capital One miles.

Is It Worth Transferring Capital One Miles to EVA Air?

Among Capital One's 22 transfer partners, EVA Air ranks toward the lower end in terms of value for a few reasons:

  • Infinity MileageLands isn't the easiest program to use. The online interface is extremely clunky, which makes it frustrating to search for and book awards.
  • Capital One miles don't transfer to EVA Air at a 1:1 ratio. Even with this 30% transfer bonus, it's still not 1:1.
  • You can often book the same EVA Air flights through other Capital One partners, such as Air Canada Aeroplan, for better value, although award availability can sometimes be harder to find.

Ultimately, EVA Air probably shouldn't be your go-to Capital One transfer partner. That said, this doesn't mean you should avoid the program altogether.

For example, one of the better sweet spots is booking United Airlines transcontinental business class between Washington, D.C. (IAD) and Los Angeles (LAX) for just 29,000 Infinity MileageLands miles plus modest taxes and fees. With this transfer bonus, you'd only need to transfer about 30,000 Capital One miles, which is a solid deal considering United rarely prices premium cabin awards that low.

Another worthwhile use of EVA Air miles is for upgrade awards. EVA publishes a fixed mileage upgrade chart for eligible paid fares, so if you're having trouble finding Royal Laurel award space, booking a paid ticket and upgrading with miles can be a good alternative. And yes, you can upgrade from economy all the way to business if you'd like, provided there's space available.

Given that EVA operates some very long flights, it's an option that's at least worth keeping in mind.

EVA Air Infinity MileageLands Expiration Policy

Before transferring your Capital One miles, it's worth understanding EVA Air's somewhat convoluted mileage expiration policy. In short, EVA Air Infinity MileageLands miles generally expire 36 months after they're earned, whether you earned them by flying or by transferring points from a partner program.

For most members, this is a hard expiration policy, meaning earning or redeeming additional miles won't extend the life of your existing balance.

There is a limited exception for members in countries where laws prohibit time-based mileage expiration. Otherwise, if your miles expire, you can reinstate them within six months by paying $10 per 1,000 miles. Reinstated miles are then valid for another 12 months.

So, be sure to factor this policy into your decision before transferring Capital One miles, which don't expire as long as your account remains open.

Bottom Line

For the right traveler, this limited-time Capital One to EVA Air Infinity MileageLands transfer bonus could be worthwhile. But for most people, it's probably one to pass on. Even with a 30% transfer bonus, the transfer ratio still falls short of 1:1, and Capital One has several other transfer partners that offer both better transfer ratios and better overall value.

That said, if you have a specific redemption in mind that makes sense with EVA Air miles, this bonus can help you get there with fewer Capital One miles. Just be sure to initiate your transfer before the offer ends on July 31, 2026.
