At this rate, the 500-point Hyatt new hotel bonus is only worth around $11 per night, so it's not worth going out of your way to visit these hotels. Not a huge incentive, but hey, if you’re gonna be staying there anyway, might as well get the extra 500 points…..Hyatt is still the best major hotel points program around despite their smaller selection of hotels worldwide.

Talk about timing…I stayed at Hyatt hotels in one of the cities on the list, and at Hiltons on two others just last month. (Charlotte, Phoenix, & Houston) Redeemed some other amazing promotions such that I don’t feel FOMO, but this would’ve been sprinkles on the icing had I known about it.
Nice extra bonus but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there for the bonus.

I hear Hyatt is very good to their members especially the elite. While there are limitations on this promo, I’ll still check them out.
Hyatt has one of the best rewards programs IMO, the points are worth more than other hotel brand points, and they do treat members well. The customer service I’ve received has been excellent. They always try to accommodate my requests and answer emails really quickly, often within a few hours. They don’t have as many properties as other brands, but are adding new ones all the time, they run a lot of bonus promos, and if you have an American Airlines Aadvantage account and link it to your WOH account, they give you Hyatt points for every AA flight. I’d highly recommend the World of Hyatt card if you become a member. The annual anniversary free night reward alone is worth more than the $95 annual fee, plus you get Discoverist elite status and your Hyatt points won’t expire.

I have stayed at Hyatt place LAX. prolly not the best experience but still acceptable.
I certainly would have stayed at some of these hotels if my travel plans had taken me to those locations. There are a few in the midwest, but none where I have been working. I’ll always choose a Hyatt if I can and I’m glad to see their footprint growing.

Hi Darren, the average is based off of 18,630 bookings as of today. The numbers DO include inflated prices like New York on NYE. Mile value averages are weighted by the number of points redeemed. For example, an award that gets a value of X cents per point on 100,000 points redeemed has twice the impact (on the average) as redeeming 50,000 points.
I see this offer from Hyatt pretty often, never have been able to cash in on it though.

Especially because the goal is to promote the new hotels that normally don’t have any customers.
Some of those eligible dates seem speculative. For example, Hyatt Place Vadodara shows eligibile dates as Jul 1 – Sep 30, yet the hotel is not open for business until mid-Nov.
So that’s how they get you :/ Good catch on that. Seems Hyatt needs to update its promotion dates.
I really enjoy staying at Hyatt Centric. It can be a bit barebones, but it’s always in the center of the cities’ action, and i love that!
I guess it is better than nothing. If you have stays in any of the hotels in the areas that they have bonuses on, this will not change any stays though.
New hotels can be a bit of a gamble so I like the idea of a small incentive like this.
I’ve definitely read a couple of horror stories about things like the AC not working at a new hotel.
I just stayed in a new hotel recently without knowing it was new (I just booked a hotel in Amarillo based on price/location – no clue it was new). I show up and the pool is still under construction. Quite frustrating to say the least.

I really like Hyatt’s program as I feel i am getting the most out of my points. With marriott, there is so many blackout dates on certificates and award bookings
2.25 cents each? I guess it’s splitting hairs but I baseline them at 2 cents each. Anything more is outstanding and I don’t book anything less.

I am really a fan of Hyatt hotels, and with extra benefits like this, it makes it easier to justify searching them out. I only with there were more Hyatt house locations across the US.
There are some wonderful properties on the list, but it is still a bit early for us.
I didn’t think that I would have the opportunity to stay at any of these hotels, but there’s at least one that is in an area where I work. I’ll have to keep that in mind. I usually stay at the Hyatt place but I can stay at a Hyatt House if it means some extra points.
