Virgin Hotels Award Discount: Book Stays in New Orleans for 30% Fewer Points

While some hotel programs offer discounts on paid stays, it's less common to find discounted hotel award stays. Virgin Hotels — a small but mighty collection of hotels around the world — occasionally runs promotions that let you book stays for fewer points. Combine that with a transfer bonus from a credit card rewards program, and your next stay could cost even less.

Here's the property currently available at a discounted rate — and how to earn the Virgin Points needed to book it.

Current Virgin Hotels Award Discounts

Virgin Hotels periodically discounts award stays at select properties. The participating locations change, but these promotions can offer a useful opportunity to stretch your Virgin Points further.

Bookings must be made at least seven days in advance. Cancellations must be processed at least 72 hours before check-in, or you'll lose the points used for the reservation. Bookings cannot be amended, so you'll need to cancel and rebook if your plans change.

Promotional redemption rates don't include breakfast. Taxes, fees, and other charges also aren't covered by the points redemption and must be paid directly to Virgin Hotels. Additionally, you won't earn Virgin Points on a stay booked entirely with points.

To take advantage of these promotional rates, you'll need accounts with both Virgin Red and The Know, Virgin Hotels' loyalty program. Link the two accounts and make sure you're logged in to The Know when booking.

Head to the Virgin Hotels Reward Stays webpage to view the available promotions. After selecting an offer, you'll be directed to the Virgin Hotels website to complete your reservation.

Follow the booking prompts and toggle on the “Pay with Virgin Points” option. Once you enter eligible travel dates, the website will display available reward stays. Your points will be deducted after you complete the reservation.

Virgin Hotels New Orleans

Located in the Warehouse District, just steps from the French Quarter, Virgin Hotels New Orleans offers easy access to many of the city's best-known restaurants, nightlife, and attractions. The hotel also features Commons Club, the rooftop Pool Club, and Chamber rooms with separate sleeping and dressing areas.
