There's not much time, so we'll cut right to the chase. Delta has launched a year-end award sale from the U.S. West Coast to select destinations ranging from the U.S. to Europe, French Polynesia, and more. And the prices are reasonable, too, starting at just 7,000 SkyMiles round-trip — or 5,800 SkyMiles if you have an eligible Delta credit card.
Here are the deals we've found that you might want to book before the promotion expires on December 14, 2023.
Promotion Details
Delta's flash sale won't be here for long. Expiring on December 14, 2023, at a time unknown, the sale focuses heavily on the carrier's routes from the West Coast.
Sale prices are limited to select dates in January and February 2024, after which prices will revert to their higher norms.

There are few terms to be aware of. Like most other Delta sales, the sale pricing applies to Delta-operated flights only, and only some Delta destinations have been put on sale.
The cheapest rates are on Basic Economy tickets, so you should be keenly aware of the limitations of booking one of these tickets before making your reservation.
Delta Flash Sale Route Highlights
While this list isn't exclusive, most deals are on routes between Seattle (SEA) and one of Delta's many global destinations. You can find the complete list of routes here, but it's worth checking each individual route as the advertised pricing is often higher than when you click on “Book.”
Here are some examples of round-trip flights on sale:
- San Francisco (SFO) to Seattle (SEA) in Basic Economy for 7,000 miles +$12 (5,900 miles with 15% off)
- Las Vegas (LAS) to Seattle (SEA) in Basic Economy for 8,000 miles + $12 (6,800 miles with 15% off)
- Seattle (SEA) to Dublin (DUB) in Basic Economy for 42,000 miles + $49 (35,700 miles with 15% off)
- Seattle (SEA) to Zurich (ZRH) in Basic Economy for 44,000 miles + $69 (37,400 miles with 15% off)
- Seattle (SEA) to Auckland (AKL) in Basic Economy for 64,000 miles + $96 (54,400 miles with 15% off)
- Seattle (SEA) to Papeete, French Polynesia (PPT) in Basic Economy for 50,000 miles + $64 (42,500 miles with 15% off)

Stack With the Delta TakeOff15 Card Benefit To Save Even More
Delta SkyMiles co-branded credit cardholders can save an extra 15% on award bookings for flights operated by Delta Air Lines. We've seen these savings passed on to award flights found in this award sale, which is welcome news. Unfortunately, this discount doesn't extend to partner-operated flights.
Eligible cardholders must save their co-branded card to their SkyMiles profile to take advantage of this benefit. Once you've saved the card to your SkyMiles profile, the 15% discount will appear on eligible itineraries when searching for SkyMiles awards.
The Delta SkyMiles® Blue American Express Card doesn't qualify for the benefit, unfortunately.

Boost Your SkyMiles Balance
If you need to top off your SkyMiles balance to book one of these awards, you have plenty of options. You can buy Delta miles, but you could also move points from any of these sources to Delta SkyMiles:
Bottom Line
Delta's year-end award sale on flights from the West Coast is live, but there's little time to book. The sale ends on December 14, 2023, so if a route catches your eye, book before it's too late.
