The airline has put most of its route network on sale, and there are great deals to be found to destinations across the lower 48, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and Canada. But this deal ends on August 10, 2023 — so you better hurry if you want to book.

Alaska Airlines is offering award fares starting at 4,500 MileagePlan Miles plus applicable taxes and fees. For non-MileagePlan members or travelers who want to take advantage of a great cash fare deal, Alaska also has reduced pricing on saver fares across most of its network.

• Book by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) August 10, 2023.
• Valid for travel September 6–December 13, 2023.
• The indicated total purchase price (including miles, taxes, and fees) is nonrefundable and available only on flights marketed by Alaska Airlines for travel on Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, SkyWest, or PenAir.

• Book by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) August 10, 2023.
• Valid for travel September 6–December 13, 2023.
• These fares are nonrefundable and are only available on flights marketed by Alaska Airlines for travel on Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, or SkyWest.
• Saver fares are eligible for Alaska Airlines' 24-hour cancellation policy and for tickets purchased on and after July 19, 2023.
• Saver fares are eligible for a credit of 50% when canceled at least 14 days prior to departure of the first flight on the ticket.

Award availability appears widespread. Take Seattle to Maui, for example. You can snag a one-way award for 12.5k miles just about any day throughout September. First-class award fares don't look to be impacted by the sale, as prices for the route during and after the sale are mostly identical — hovering around 40k MileagePlan miles plus applicable taxes and fees.

Depending on the route, you should be able to find great availability for the fares advertised in this on sale. Saver routes, in particular, have the best availability and often the best prices.

Boost Your MileagePlan Balance

For MileagePlan members, this flash sale on award fares could represent a great way to use a minimal number of miles to book a trip to one of Alaska Airlines' growing list of destinations. There are a few ways to earn MileagePlan Miles, but note that the promotion is only bookable through August 10, 2023. If you don't already have MileagePlan Miles, taking advantage of this promotion might be difficult, as Alaska Airlines is not a transfer partner of any credit card issuer. And the hotel transfer options likely won't process in time to help you with this flash sale.

However, you can buy Alaska miles, which are currently on sale. Combining the bonus on buying Alaska Airlines miles with this award flash sale could be advantageous.
