Call us biased, but the AwardWallet Lounge Tool might just be the best thing since sliced bread. This lesser-known feature should be a go-to for any traveler looking for a break from airport chaos. It helps you figure out which lounges you can access based on the credit cards in your wallet and the lounge memberships you have. And it lives inside the free AwardWallet mobile app.

If you haven’t heard of it, we don’t blame you. It’s pretty new, after all. But here’s what you should know about the Lounge Tool the AwardWallet team built to help you quickly find all the airport lounges you can get into on your next trip.

What Is the AwardWallet Lounge Tool?

The AwardWallet Lounge Tool helps you identify which airport lounges you can access with your credit cards and lounge memberships, like Priority Pass or Dragon Pass. It’s built into the AwardWallet mobile app, and you can try it out by creating a free AwardWallet account (if you don’t have one already), downloading the app (Apple App Store or Google Play), and tracking your travel plans.

From there, you can use the tool to plan which lounges to visit on your travel day. Or, you can use it to check for alternate options if your first-choice lounge has a line out the door. It’s an intuitive feature that shows you all the lounges you’re eligible to access, including credit card lounges, airline lounges, and more.

How to Use the AwardWallet Lounge Tool to Find Accessible Airport Lounges

Let’s take it from the top. Here’s how to find the AwardWallet Lounge Tool and start using it.

Find your trips in the AwardWallet app

The AwardWallet Lounge Tool lives in the AwardWallet mobile app, so the first thing you’ll need to do is open the app. The home screen will show your linked loyalty accounts.

Look at the bottom of the screen and tap on “Trips.” You’ll see a snapshot of your travel stats and a timeline of your upcoming trips linked to your AwardWallet account.

Tap one of the right-pointing arrows to see a detailed view of a specific trip. If lounges are available at any of the airports on your itinerary, the Lounge Tool will display them. For instance, in the example below, AwardWallet identified 11 lounges at New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Tap the arrow again to see more.

View lounges you can access

Now for the fun part: browsing lounges. You’ll see a list of all lounges available at that airport, along with details such as location, whether it's open, and which cards or memberships grant access. If you’ve linked cards to your AwardWallet account (and by extension, lounge memberships like Priority Pass), a checkmark will appear to indicate you're eligible for entry.

For venues with more limited access, such as Chase Sapphire Lounges that allow a one-time visit with Priority Pass or Priority Pass restaurant benefits that only apply to select cards, it’s best to consult our other guides or confirm your eligibility with the agent at the door.

Want to learn more about a specific lounge? Tap on it. You’ll find more information on opening hours, access rules (including eligible credit cards or memberships), and other details.

And if you scroll down a bit further, you’ll see any blog posts we’ve published about that lounge or lounge network. These might include reviews, photos, tips for activating necessary memberships, and more. For example, you'll find our review of the Chase Sapphire Lounge at LGA and our guide to Priority Pass lounges below when you view that lounge in the AwardWallet app.

Browse Priority Pass restaurants

If you carry a credit card that offers Priority Pass restaurant benefits, the Lounge Tool will also indicate where your perks apply. For example, at London Heathrow (LHR), the Evergreen Bar & Restaurant is a participating venue. Tapping on it will show you its hours, location, and access conditions — just like a traditional lounge.

Final Thoughts

If you’re unsure which airport lounges, nap rooms, spas, or even restaurants you can access based on the cards in your wallet or the lounge memberships you have, the AwardWallet Lounge Tool is here to help. And if you find yourself stuck in a long line outside a lounge, it can also quickly show you the other lounges you’re eligible to enter, so it’s great for that, too. The AwardWallet app has plenty of useful features. But this might just be one of the most helpful ones you hadn't yet heard of.
