Bilt Rewards, the loyalty program that allows members to earn transferable Bilt Points on rent without convenience fees, has grown massively since its launch in 2021. Many hold The Bilt Mastercard® to earn as many Bilt Points as possible to transfer to Bilt travel partners (especially on Rent Day).

Bilt Rewards also has an elite status program of its own, aimed to reward loyal members with better Rent Day promotions, interest on points, and more. Let's dig into the details of Bilt elite status, including how you earn it and the perks of doing so.

What is Bilt Elite Status?

Bilt Elite Status rewards Bilt members for engaging with the program. You can earn status by earning Bilt Points, or you can “fast-track” your status by spending on The Bilt Mastercard® and Bilt partners. More on that in a bit. There are four tiers of Bilt status:

  • Blue
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum

Bilt Rewards status grants members special perks at each tier level. At each level beyond the base level (Blue), you'll earn benefits like bonus points on new leases and renewals at Bilt-participating properties, rent reporting to credit bureaus, interest on your points balance, a homeownership concierge, and better Rent Day transfer bonuses. As you climb the elite ranks at Bilt, many of these benefits get more lucrative.

How to Earn Bilt Elite Status

There are two ways to earn Bilt Elite Status. Let's go into detail on how each path to status works.

The first path is the most straightforward. You'll earn Bilt Elite Status based on how many Bilt “Qualifying Points” you earn in a calendar year. Most Bilt points earned are Qualifying Points for status purposes. Activities like paying your rent, earning points from credit card spend, and points earned from Bilt partners like Lyft all count. But there are some exclusions:

  • Referrals
  • Courtesy points
  • Rent Free prize points
  • Incremental campaign bonus points
  • Points awarded from marketing surveys

You'll earn status once you reach a threshold of qualifying Bilt Points earned in a calendar year, and then continue to earn higher status as you engage with the program. Here are the numbers of qualifying Bilt Points needed at each elite level:

  • Blue: 0-49,999 points
  • Silver: 50,000 points
  • Gold: 125,000 points
  • Platinum: 200,000 Points

Fast-track to Bilt Elite Status

As we mentioned, there's a way to fast-track status earning through spending on The Bilt Mastercard® (excluding rent) and through Bilt partners on linked cards in your Bilt account. This is based on the amount of money you're spending within the Bilt ecosystem. Bilt calls spending within its partner ecosystem the “Bilt Neighborhood,” which includes:

  • Dining at Bilt restaurants
  • Walgreens
  • Fitness partners like Barry's, SoulCycle, CorePower Yoga, Rumble Boxing, Y7 Studio, CycleBar, Pure Barre, YogaSix, and BFT
  • Rideshare spending with Lyft
  • Bilt Experiences

You'll also earn spending credit on flights and hotels booked through the Bilt Travel portal. Once you hit certain spending levels in a calendar year, you'll earn that status. Here's the spending required for each level:

  • Blue: Up to $9,999 in spending
  • Silver: $10,000-$24,999 in spending
  • Gold: $25,000-$49,999 in spending
  • Platinum: $50,000+ in spending

Just remember to link any non-Bilt cards to your account in order to receive credit for spending with partners. You can link them on the website or in the app by finding the “Getting started” tab, or navigate to the “Wallet” tab and add it there.

The good news is you don't have to choose a path to earn status. Bilt members will earn the higher of the two statuses earned by either path throughout a calendar year. Once you earn status, it's good for the rest of the calendar year that you earn it in, plus the following calendar year.

How To Track Your Progress Towards Bilt Elite Status

Bilt Elite Status can be tracked through the app or the website. You'll see both paths represented on the “Status” tab of both the app and website.

As you can see, I have a ways to go before I earn status, but the tracker clearly states how many points I need to earn, or how much I need to spend via the Fast Track, to earn Bilt status.

Bilt Rewards Elite Status Benefits

Now, let's dig into each tier's respective benefits and what status level makes sense for your travel and spending habits.

Blue

Blue status is the “starter” status in the Bilt program. You'll “earn” it by joining the program and remaining Blue until you earn Silver status, the first true status level. But, as a Blue status member, you do have some perks. They include:

  • Ability to transfer to Bilt's transfer partners, with transfers starting at a minimum of 2,000 points
  • Rent Day transfer bonus offers
  • Access to the Bilt Collection for points redemption
  • Rent reporting to credit bureaus

Bilt has one of the strongest lineups of transfer partners in the points and miles world at the moment, adding Qatar Airways as its 21st partner recently. And, if earning points from rent through Bilt, reporting that payment to credit bureaus can help certain members build credit. You'll need to opt in for Bilt to report rent to the bureaus on your behalf.

Silver

The first true status level is Silver. You'll earn Silver status after earning 50,000 points or spending $10,000 qualifying dollars in the Bilt ecosystem. You'll enjoy new benefits at this level, plus the benefits enjoyed at Blue. They include:

  • Higher Rent Day transfer bonuses
  • Earn interest on your points balance
  • BLADE benefits
  • Transfer Bilt Points at 1,000 points

Rent Day is the first day of every month in Bilt Rewards. Most months, Bilt offers a transfer bonus available to one of its transfer partners. Every Rent Day is different, but each increasing status level typically has a higher transfer bonus.

Earning interest on your points balance is a truly unique benefit for Bilt Members, though in reality, it won't result in a ton of bonus points. You'll earn bonus points based on the average points balance in your account over 30 days. The amount of points earned as interest is based on the FDIC national savings rate. Based on current rates, a member who has, on average, 10,000 points in their account each month will earn a paltry 4.2 points as interest.

BLADE is a helicopter service operating mostly in New York City. With Silver status, you'll earn a 10% discount on BLADE flights, which start at $195, booked through the Bilt app.

Finally, Silver members and above can transfer Bilt Points starting at 1,000 points, rather than the 2,000 point threshold for Blue members.

Gold

The next status level is Gold. You'll earn Gold status after earning 125,000 points or spending $25,000 in the Bilt ecosystem. You'll enjoy some new benefits at this level and some increased benefits from Silver and Blue. They include:

  • Gold level Rent Day transfer bonuses
  • Gold priority access to Rent Day experiences
  • Homeownership concierge
  • Complimentary access to BLADE lounges, even if you're not flying

As we mentioned in the Silver section, Gold members will see an increased transfer bonus on most Rent Days. For example, Bilt Gold Members received a 200% transfer bonus during June 2025's Rent Day promotion with Accor Live Limitless (ALL).

Each Rent Day, Bilt releases Rent Day experiences for its members to purchase with Bilt Points or money. Gold members enjoy earlier access than Silver and Blue members to purchase these experiences, which can range from fancy dinners, concerts, and comedy shows.

Bilt offers the ability to use Bilt Points towards a down payment on a home, at a rate of 1.5 cents per point. At the Gold level, Bilt will assign you a Homebuying concierge to assist in the process.

Finally, Gold members enjoy the same 10% discount as Silver members on BLADE flights, plus a very unique perk. Members can access seven BLADE lounges in New York City, Westchester, Nantucket, and Miami, even if they're not flying BLADE that day. Lounges offer a nice place to relax before your flight (or get some work done), plus serve drinks and snacks.

Platinum

The top status possible to earn in the Bilt Rewards program is Platinum. Bilt Platinum is earned after 200,000 qualifying points are earned or $50,000 spent in the Bilt ecosystem. As the top status level, members will enjoy the best perks available in Bilt. They are:

  • Complimentary BLADE flight each year
  • Flying Blue Gold status
  • Platinum priority access to Rent Day Experiences
  • Dedicated membership support team
  • Platinum Rent Day transfer bonuses

You'll also enjoy the previous benefits enjoyed by Gold status members and below.

The first new benefit is a complimentary BLADE flight each year between New York (JFK) or Newark (EWR) airports and Manhattan once per calendar year. Once Platinum, you'll be able to redeem for your flight in the Travel tab on the app or website. You'll also enjoy previous benefits like lounge access and a 10% discount on other BLADE flights.

Air France/KLM operates a shared loyalty program called Flying Blue. With Bilt Platinum status, you'll enjoy Flying Blue Gold status, which gets you benefits on Air France, KLM, Delta, and other SkyTeam airlines. These benefits include:

  • SkyTeam Elite Plus status benefits
  • Priority check-in and boarding
  • Free seat selection options
  • Extra baggage allowance
  • International lounge access

Enjoying a status “double dip” is an amazing perk, especially if you're a Delta flyer who otherwise wouldn't earn status.

Platinum members enjoy first priority when booking Rent Day Experiences. This ensures that Platinum members have the best chance at securing a seat at popular events.

In addition, Platinum members have a dedicated support team at Bilt, similar to other top-tier statuses in the travel world. When something is amiss or if extra help is needed in the Bilt program, a dedicated support team may get members a resolution sooner.

Finally, Platinum members get the best Rent Day transfer bonuses.

Bilt Rewards Milestone Rewards

In addition to status, Bilt Rewards offers Milestone Rewards at every 25,000 point level that you hit, up to. There's no “fast track” to these rewards through spending. You'll only earn them by earning Bilt points. At every 25,000 point threshold, you'll have a choice between benefits to make. At higher Milestone Rewards, you'll have more choices. And, if you hold the The Bilt Mastercard®, you'll have up to six exclusive choices available as well.

Final Thoughts

Bilt Rewards offers many perks for spending on The Bilt Mastercard® as well as in the Bilt Neighborhood ecosystem. The Rent Day promotions can be truly spectacular if you have a large Bilt balance saved up, making engaging with this program worthwhile. As with everything in the points and miles world, there's an opportunity cost for shifting spending from one card or program to another, so it's worth weighing the pros and cons for your situation before switching all your spending to Bilt Rewards.
