Bilt announced a slew of new promotions for December's “Bilt Rent Day” — what is what Bilt is branding the first of the month. This month's Bilt Rent Day promotions include double earnings on all purchases (meaning 6x on dining and 4x on travel) for a full week from November 25-31. Members can receive a maximum of 50,000 bonus points on Bilt Rent Day through the double points promotion.

Plus, Bilt members can take advantage of a one-day-only transfer bonus, enter to win free rent, and get one last free SoulCycle class this year.

Once again, Bilt is offering double points earnings on Bilt Rent Day — which it's dubbing the first of every month. However, December's Bilt Rent Day is starting early this month.

From November 25 to December 1, cardholders of The Bilt Mastercard® will automatically earn 6X (instead of 3X) on dining spending, 4X (instead of 2X) on travel spending, and 2X (instead of 1X) on all other spending, including rent. A maximum of 50,000 bonus points can be earned this Bilt Rent Day week.

IHG One Rewards Transfer Bonus

Bilt is offering its first transfer bonus! On December 1 only, Bilt Rewards members will be able to transfer Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards with a 100% bonus. After this bonus, you'll get 2 IHG One Rewards points for every 1 Bilt Rewards point transferred.

Even so, you probably shouldn't transfer Bilt points to IHG. In recent AwardWallet user redemptions, IHG points have yielded 0.73 cents each. Double that and you're getting 1.46 cents worth of IHG points per Bilt point transferred.

Meanwhile, AwardWallet users have gotten an average value of 2.22 cents per World of Hyatt point. So, even at a 1:1 transfer ratio, transferring Bilt points to Hyatt is likely a better deal than transferring Bilt points to IHG with a 100% bonus.

Key terms:

  • Points must be transferred in a single transfer on December 1, 2022 from 12:00am ET until 11:59pm PT.
  • Bilt Blue members must transfer at least 2,000 Bilt points.
  • Bilt Silver, Gold, and Platinum members can transfer a minimum of 1,000 Bilt points.

Monthly Rent Giveaway

Yet another Bilt Rent Day promotion offers three winners the chance to have their next rent payment covered to start 2023. To enter this giveaway, submit your answer to this month's Rent Day Riddle in the Bilt app on December 1, 2022. Check out Bilt's Instagram (@BiltRewards) for clues on the riddle.

This giveaway is open to both Bilt members and non-members. Winners will be selected and announced on December 2, 2022.

SoulCycle and Bilt Partnership

Bilt and SoulCycle Promotions

In September, Bilt partnered with SoulCycle to offer a great promotion for Bilt Rent Day. For Bilt Rent Day through the end of the year (October 1, November 1, and December 1, 2022), Bilt members can book a special 45-minute class and get a complimentary ride for a friend, plus a bag of limited-edition accessories.

Classes are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Bilt cardholders will also get 10X points on their spending with SoulCycle.

Although some SoulCycle studios have recently closed down, there are 56 studios where you can take classes. If you are near one of those studios, this could be a nice promotion to take advantage of.

[Expired] United Mileage Premier Status

Bilt United Promo

Now until November 1, 2022, Bilt members can claim United elite status. This is a great promotion to take advantage of if you're a Bilt member, but don't already have United Premier status.

  • Bilt Blue Tier members can claim United Premier Silver status.
  • Bilt Silver, Gold, and Platinum Tier members can claim United Premier Gold status.

The United Premier status will be valid for 120 days after activating (to the end of February 2023). You can then extend your status until the end of January 2024 (an additional 11 months) by flying.

United Premier Silver members will need to earn 1,000 Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs) and 4 Premier Qualifying Flights (PQFs) during the 120-day period. United Premier Gold members will need to earn 2,000 PQPs and 6 PQFs during the 120-day period.

Go to the Rent Day tab in the Bilt app before November 1 at midnight to unlock the status.

Our Take

Bilt continues to announce more promotions for Bilt Rent Day. This month includes a full week of double points, Bilt's first transfer bonus, and even a free rent giveaway.

There are several reasons to have a Bilt Mastercard. Along with several promotions, Bilt continues to be one of the only cards you can use to pay rent without fees. Plus, Bilt offers a variety of appealing transfer partners.

Just remember that there are limits to how many Bilt points you can earn per payment. Rent payments earn a maximum of 50,000 Bilt points per year, and you'll only earn a cap of 250 points on rent if you make less than 5 purchases per statement period. But the Bilt Mastercard has a $0 annual fee and no fees for rent payments.

  • Interesting promos. Have to look into this card.

  • I think the United promo is smart of bilt. I know I am intrigued! I just am not planning on flying UA anytime soon so I am debating whether or not to try this promo.

  • This is a no-brainer card, and I’ve already earned nearly 20,000 points since getting the card at launch in April. It’s the perfect complement for my ABC points strategy (Amex/Bilt/Chase), and it also rounds out my card networks respectively for international purchases (Amex/Mastercard/Visa).
