Amazon fans: You'll be happy to know that Chase has refreshed its two Amazon co-branded credit cards. These changes include more than just new names for the cards. You've got new card art, new earning rates, and new benefits.
Here's a look at the updates to the Amazon Visa and Prime Visa.

Prime Visa Card Details
The refreshed Prime Visa still has a $0 annual fee, but you'll need an Amazon Prime membership ($139 annually). This card was formerly known as the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card.
New applicants for the Prime Visa also can earn a $100 (or more) Amazon Gift Card instantly upon approval exclusively for Prime members
Additionally, you'll earn cash back on purchases as follows:
- 5% back on purchases made through Chase Travel, with an eligible Prime membership
- 5% back at Amazon and Whole Foods Market, with an eligible Prime membership
- 2% back on local transit and commuting, including rideshare
- 2% back at restaurants and at gas stations
- 1% back on all other purchases
There are no minimum redemption amounts with the Prime Visa, and there are no foreign transaction fees either. You'll also enjoy built-in perks like extended warranty protection, purchase protection, baggage delay insurance, travel accident insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, and access to the Visa Signature Concierge Service 24 hours a day.

Amazon Visa Card Details
The Amazon Visa also comes with a $0 annual fee. It was formerly called the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card, so the new name is much simpler.
New applicants can earn a $50 Amazon gift card instantly upon account approval.
Cardholders earn cash back as follows:
- 3% back at Amazon and Whole Foods Market
- 3% back on purchases made through Chase Travel
- 2% back at restaurants and at gas stations
- 2% back on local transit and commuting, including rideshare
- 1% back on all other purchases
There are no minimum redemption amounts, and the Amazon Visa also provides the same concierge and insurance perks as the Prime Visa.
Bottom Line
The refreshed Amazon credit cards from Chase have expanded earning capabilities. Now that Amazon owns Whole Foods, this makes sense. The cash back you earn can be redeemed for statement credits, gift cards, within the Chase travel portal, or redeemed for future Amazon purchases. Earning up to 5% cash back on Amazon purchases should catch the eyes of Amazon fans.
