Stack Aeroplan Card Transfer Bonuses
Chase Aeroplan® Credit Card holders can currently receive a 10% transfer bonus when transferring a minimum of 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Aeroplan. You can earn a maximum of 25,000 bonus points through this 10% bonus — requiring transfers of 250k points.
This 20% transfer bonus stacks with the existing promotion. This means that if you are a Chase Aeroplan Card holder, you can receive a 30% transfer bonus.
For example, say you transfer exactly 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Aeroplan. This new Aeroplan transfer bonus will add 10,000 Aeroplan points, and the cardholder bonus will tack on another 5,000 Aeroplan points for a total of 65,000 Aeroplan points.
This 30% bonus can be leveraged with some of Aeroplan’s excellent sweet spots, making this deal extremely lucrative and hard to beat.
Ways to Maximize This Aeroplan Transfer Bonus
You have a huge range of options for using your Aeroplan points. The program has a generous award chart (PDF link). You can leverage your points for excellent value by taking advantage of some of the best Aeroplan sweet spots.
Star Alliance business class to Europe
Business class awards between the U.S. and Europe start at just 60,000 Aeroplan points. Air Canada uses distance-based award charts, so this pricing applies to itineraries between the North America and Atlantic zones that cover up to 4,000 miles.
Some route examples include Boston to Frankfurt in Lufthansa business class or Newark to London in United Polaris business class.
- Transfer this many Chase points with a 20% bonus to book it: 50,000 points

Air New Zealand business class to Auckland
The South Pacific is a bucket list destination for many, but getting there can be a challenge given the distance from the U.S. So, why not take this flight in business class? One of the best options for this is to transfer Chase points to Air Canada and book an Air New Zealand award to Auckland for 75,000 Aeroplan points.
- Transfer this many Chase points with a 20% bonus to book it: 63,000 points
- Transfer this many Chase points with a 30% bonus to book it: 58,000 points

Tack on a stopover for just 5,000 Aeroplan points
There are several sweet spots in the Aeroplan program, and if you're thinking about using this transfer bonus, it might be tough to choose just one. So, why not visit two destinations for about the price of one?
Aeroplan allows you to add a stopover of up to 45 days on most itineraries for just 5,000 points. Here's an example to show how it works:
Say you want to fly from Newark to São Paulo in United Polaris business class, and while you're in South America, you’d like to visit Buenos Aires, too. Easy! Just click the “Multi-city/Stopover” button on the Aeroplan website and start searching for award space. In business class, this one-way itinerary will cost you just 120,000 Aeroplan points.

- Transfer this many Chase points with a 30% bonus to book it: 93,000 points

Bring the whole family! Add a lap infant for 2,500 points
If you're planning a family trip later this year and traveling with a lap infant, Air Canada Aeroplan is one of the best programs to book through. You can add a lap infant to an Aeroplan award for just 2,500 points online or $25 over the phone. Considering how pricey it can be to travel with a lap infant, especially in business class, this is one of the program’s most valuable perks.
For example, booking two seats in Turkish Airlines business class from Boston to Istanbul costs 70,000 Aeroplan points per adult and just 2,500 points for the infant. That’s a total of 142,500 points plus taxes and fees for a one-way trip, which is a great deal for family travel in business class. And it gets even better if you stack it with a transfer bonus.
- Transfer this many Chase points with a 20% bonus to book it: 119,000 points
- Transfer this many Chase points with a 30% bonus to book it: 110,000 points

Aeroplan Points Expiration Policy
Aeroplan points expire if the Aeroplan member hasn't redeemed or accumulated points in 18 months. This being said, Air Canada has suspended all expiration of points through November 30, 2025. Aeroplan members don't have to worry about their points expiring until then.
Thankfully, you can help save your expiring points by transferring from an Aeroplan bank partner. That means taking advantage of the Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer bonus to Aeroplan will extend your points by an additional 18 months from the date of transfer.

Our Take
This promotion can be very lucrative, especially if you can stack it with the additional 10% transfer bonus that co-brand cardholders receive. The last day you can initiate a transfer with this 20% Aeroplan transfer bonus is July 17, 2025.
Getting the maximum bonus and marrying it to a great Aeroplan sweet spot can yield excellent value. Needless to say, we never recommend transferring credit card points speculatively, no matter how good the deal. So, if you can't make this transfer work with your plans, you are best leaving your Ultimate Rewards points alone for other valuable redemptions down the line.
