Here's an interesting promotion from IHG One Rewards. As part of the “Biggest Member Event,” IHG One Rewards members can download the IHG app and earn 1,000 bonus points. Here's what you need to know about this promotion.
IHG App Bonus Points Promotion
This is a straightforward promotion. If you're an IHG One Rewards member and haven't already downloaded the IHG app, do so before December 9, 2022 (originally December 2), and earn 1,000 bonus points.
Members who have previously downloaded the app won't be eligible. It can be assumed that IHG will be monitoring your Apple or Google account to ensure this is the first download.
Having the app installed is a good idea. It makes hotel bookings and stays easier, and sometimes there are app-only promotions. Earlier this year, you could earn 8,000 bonus points just by booking two stays with the app.
Terms and Conditions
- This promotion can only be taken advantage of once. No re-downloading of the app.
- Bonus points will be awarded to your account within 6 weeks of download.
This promotion doesn't come with the biggest reward, but there's no expenditure required either. 1,000 IHG rewards points currently have a valuation of around $7.30.
Of course, there are those who are worried about their privacy. But if you have a phone and a Google Play or Apple account, then one more app won't make a difference.
IHG overhauled its rewards program earlier this year with the launch of IHG One Rewards. The new structure gives more benefits, and there have been quite a few promotions since then. If you're looking for other ways to earn IHG One Rewards points, check our list of current IHG promotions.
