You can get a $100 instant discount if you book by June 19, 2023. The amount you save (advertised as “up to $500”) on packages will depend on your destination and length of stay. You must complete your travel by January 7, 2024, and you must book a minimum of one day before traveling.

Our Take

If you registered and booked your trips in time, you can continue to earn double points or receive discounts on your vacation packages. Once new Southwest Airlines promotions are available, we'll add them here.

  • Did you get the dates right in this? This article was posted 30 minutes ago, but the dates say you must book by June 18 which was 6 days ago.

Ah, there are a couple of promotions that have already closed that we included in this post for reference. The only promotion that’s currently available is the bonus points for flights within Hawaii – but we will continue to update this post as other promotions are added.

  • I tried to register for the 5X points today and it didn’t work call Southwest and they weren’t able to help me they couldn’t figure it out so try again in 48 hours anyone else seen this?

  • JIll Jenkins says:

I seems very easy via promotions to earn a companion pass or get one extended (due to COVID extensions). There is little reward to those of us that earn the points each year to qualify.

  • I messaged southwest about having to use “your company travel program” they confirmed we can book directly on their website and still qualify.

  • Good offer, I’d of course go for the companion pass over the points

  • Flying 2 roundtrips will present more a challenge to more people nowadays.

  • So a transcon roundtrip with connections in both directions will qualify for the first promo?

    • Unfortunately not. A one-way is defined as a journey from an origin to a destination. I added this restriction from the terms and conditions to the post above for clarity: ” A qualifying one-way flight for this promotion is a one-way revenue flight on Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city, including any intermediate stops and/or connections on Southwest Airlines.”

  • The 5K offer sounds intriguing. One RT from our local airport with a connection each way, would bring in an extra approximate $75 worth of points, in addition to the points gained from the actual flight, with the current low SW prices, could provide a return worth much of the cost of the trip!

  • I think I would go for the points, not much flying in my future.
