Flying Blue is the loyalty program for two big European airlines, Air France and KLM. Each month, its Promo Rewards offer 25% off select award flights operated by either airline. These discounts can apply to economy, premium economy, or business class, depending on the route.

In April 2026, travelers can book flights from 15 North American cities to Europe starting at just 18,750 miles each way in economy or 45,000 miles in business class! The current booking window runs through the end of September 2026, allowing travelers to plan a trip (or two) up to six months in advance for discounted rates.

Here's a look at the newest Flying Blue Promo Rewards and how to maximize them for cheap award travel.

Flying Blue Promo Rewards Routes for April 2026

Each month, Flying Blue discounts select economy, premium economy, and/or business class awards. For bookings in April 2026, the following North American cities are discounted:

Flying Blue Promo Rewards Award Pricing

Flying Blue devalued its “starting at” award prices in January 2025. Now, all routes start at 25,000 Flying Blue miles in economy, 40,000 in premium economy, or 60,000 in business class. That means a 25% discount reduces award rates between North America and Europe as low as:

  • 18,750 miles each way in economy.
  • 30,000 miles each way in premium economy.
  • 45,000 miles each way in business class.

Example Flying Blue Promo Rewards Awards

Throughout this month’s booking window, availability is generally good for economy flights between North America and Europe. Business class is harder to come by, as discounted rates are only available from one U.S. gateway, while another option in the Caribbean is exclusive to Flying Blue Extra subscribers. And note that there are no premium economy awards discounted this month.

Here are some examples of the Flying Blue Promo Rewards you can book during April for travel through September of this year:

Economy between North America and Europe for 18,750 miles

Flying Blue's cheapest Promo Rewards from North America to Europe are a bargain. And there's plenty of availability at that 18,750-mile price point. For instance, here's what the Flying Blue award calendar shows as available between New York (JFK) and Paris (CDG) this April:

If you want to fly further, you can do that too. Flying Blue will allow you to add a connection within Europe (and as far as Turkey) for no extra mileage cost. For example, you could fly an itinerary like New York (JFK) to Athens (ATH), via Paris (CDG) or Amsterdam (AMS), for just 18,750 miles plus taxes and fees.

Business class between North America and Europe for 45,000 miles

It’s not often that Flying Blue discounts business class, especially to North America. So when it does, it’s worth booking. And this month, you have two options, one of which comes with a catch.

The first one (with no catch) is business class awards from Portland (PDX) to Europe. If you can find availability, you'll redeem just 45,000 miles plus taxes and fees per way.

The other discounted route— from St. Martin (SXM) — is only available to Flying Blue Extra subscribers. For those unfamiliar, Flying Blue Extra is a subscription program that offers a handful of benefits, including access to “Exclusive Promo Rewards,” starting at 379 euros annually. But subscribing would mean you can book this route for the discounted rate of 63,750 miles plus taxes and fees.

If you’re not subscribed, you won’t see discounted awards from St. Martin (plus several economy destinations) this month.

Our Take

Flying Blue Promo Rewards offer a great opportunity to stretch your points and miles. The list of destinations available in April is fairly extensive, and there’s decently good award availability throughout the entire travel window. But like recent iterations of this offer, there are extra incentives to subscribe to Flying Blue Extra.

If this deal piques your interest, you can book discounted awards through September 30, 2026, as long as you make your reservation by April 30, 2026. Travel between North America and Europe is available most months for as low as 18,750 miles in economy or 45,000 miles in business class. And it can cost even less if you're able to take advantage of an ongoing transfer bonus.

Since Flying Blue is a transfer partner of all major transferable points programs, you can redeem for discounted awards no matter which points you collect. If there's no Promo Reward available from your airport, Flying Blue still offers several sweet spots outside of these monthly discounts.
