If we ask travelers to list one major complaint with the current state of U.S. airports, I bet that at least 50% of passengers would name waiting in lines as their #1 complaint.

We wait for check-in, clearing security, ordering food, at the gate to enter the aircraft, on the jetway to get on the plane, and then finally as we walk down the aisle to our seat. The lines are often long, no one enjoys waiting, and you're a part of a horribly inefficient process.

So, when a service enters the fray announcing it can eliminate at least one of those lines, we want you to know about it. Enter Grab. We've partnered with Grab for you to save 20% off your first order with Grab using promo code AWARDWALLET.

Travel Tip: To avoid a long wait while transiting through TSA security clearance, signup for TSA Pre✓® and skip the wait. The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card comes with a Global Entry Application Fee Reimbursement of $100, also making you eligible to receive TSA Pre ✓® privileges when approved (typically $85).

Grab Mobile App
The Grab mobile app is a day-of-travel app supplying terminal maps and the ability to pre-order food from your favorite airport dining venues.

Where can I use Grab?

While the mapping and directions functionality is currently available in over 40 U.S. airports, mobile ordering is only available at 120 restaurants across 16 airports. Expect this to increase rapidly over the coming months after Grab signed a deal with global restaurant operator HMSHost, one of the world's leading operators of travel dining venues.

The North American partnership will see Grab move into 80+ airports across the continent, allowing users to order food from a significant portion of HMSHost's 300 brands and 2,000 restaurants.

“HMSHost is very excited to partner with Grab. This is a huge step towards increasing the convenience of dining for travelers and directly supports our goal to continue implementing innovative solutions that enable us to provide the best guest experience in the industry,” said HMSHost EVP & Chief Commercial Officer Jeff Yablun. “Through this partnership, we are combining the broad reach of HMSHost’s airport dining offerings with Grab’s rising mobile ordering platform to enhance the experience for the large base of travelers that are served every day by HMSHost.”

Final Thoughts

We're big fans of technology that makes life easier for passengers, and that is precisely what Grab achieves. The maps are intuitive, provide gate-to-gate directions, showing all the dining and retail options along the way, letting you order food in advance to pick up on your way to the gate. Available on both iOS and Android, download the app to your device and save 20% off your first order with Grab using promo code AWARDWALLET.
