Hilton Honors does not offer a standard award chart for each property, so you may find it difficult to decide where to spend your hard-earned points and free night certificates. However, Hilton does offer an award calendar buried on its website that can help you zero in on the cheapest dates. You just have to know how to find it. Here's how to uncover the Hilton points calendar.

Hilton Honors Award Calendar
The Hilton Honors award calendar allows you to pull up the points cost for a specific property for an entire month at a time. This makes searching for the lowest-priced room much easier than searching for individual dates.
How To Pull Up the Hilton Points Calendar
For this article, we are going to highlight the newly opened Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique. As you can see from the photo below, this property is pricey. Thus, it's a great property for an award booking, as you can get a lot of value for you Hilton points. This is the cash cost of a base room for one night in December 2025.

Hilton Honors uses dynamic pricing for both points and cash bookings, which means rates can vary widely. In the interest of getting the most bang for our points, we're looking for standard pricing. Additionally, if you want to use a free night certificate, you'll need to find standard availability.
For a standard night at the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique, you'll need 120,000 Hilton Honors points a night. Let's look at the steps to find that price.
First, you'll need to navigate to the Hilton website. Once there, it's time to start searching. Run a search for your preferred property and enter your dates. Be sure to select “Use Points & Money.”

Next, scroll to the top of the page and select “Edit Stay.”

After that, click the date and a calendar will pop up. At the bottom of this pop-up select “Shop by Price.”

Finally, the award calendar will pop up, showing the prices for each individual date. You can scroll by month at the top of this page.

As you can see, the prices for the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique swing wildly from the standard 120,000 points per night all the way past (gulp) three million points per night. Crazy. This is why we think it's an excellent use of a free night certificate.
When to Use the Hilton Points Calendar
The calendar can be especially helpful for an aspirational property like the Conrad Bora Bora Nui. Stringing together consecutive nights using points for a standard room is not easy, but the calendar helps you find pockets of dates. Then you can book what's available and hope more days surrounding your reservation open up down the road.

Plus, the ability to now book hundreds of SLH properties with Hilton points and certificates means an even broader range of high-end properties at your disposal.
Hilton Points Explorer
If you're not looking for a specific property but are instead looking for ideas of where to use your points, check out Hilton's Points Explorer tool. This tool allows you to search by the amount of points you're willing to spend each night. You also have the option to narrow it down by location or type of property (i.e., all-inclusive, beach, luxury, etc.).
Oddly, the slider only goes to 95,000 points, so finding those high-end properties — some now as high as 200,000 points a night — is futile using the Points Explorer tool.
