Hilton Honors currently has two flash sales perfect for winter (or, in the latter case, spring) getaways. In both, you’ll receive an extra 5% discount if you’re a Hilton Honors member. If you haven’t already joined Hilton Honors, this is a good reason to do so. You’ll receive a greater discount and also earn points for your stay.
In the first sale, being a Hilton Honors member will bump your discount from 15% to 20%. In the second sale, you’ll get a 40% discount instead of 35%.
There are a few things to keep in mind for both of these sales:
- Bookings made through either sale are non-refundable and require full payment upfront.
- The discount price is off the Best Available Rate, which means the discount percentage isn’t accurate compared to a typical pre-paid rate, as Ben points out.
- The discount doesn’t apply to taxes, fees, and so on, which must be paid at the full rate.
US, Canada, and Latin America: 15% or 20% Off
The US, Canada, and Latin America flash sale lets you book rooms for 15% to 20% off at most Hilton properties, with the discount level depending on whether you’re a Hilton Honors member (members get the 20% discount).
There are some details to keep in mind while booking a room through this sale:
- If you arrive on New Year’s Eve, you’ll need to book a stay of at least two nights to receive the discounted price.
- Conrad and Waldorf Astoria properties have a slightly different offer. Their discounts are $15 and $20 for Hilton Honors non-members and members respectively.
- Travel dates covered are December 18th, 2016 through January 8th, 2017.
If you want to take advantage of the deal, book soon; the sale ends at 11:59 PM Eastern on Wednesday, December 7th.
Asia Pacific: 40% Off for Honors Members
The second flash sale covers many Asia Pacific destinations, including:
- Australia
- Guam
- India
- Korea
- Maldives
- South Pacific
- Southeast Asia
- Sri Lanka
Hilton Honors members will receive a 40% discount off the Best Available Rate or Bed and Breakfast Rate at participating hotels, while non-members will receive a 35% discount.
Details for this sale:
- You need to book by 8 AM GMT on Friday, December 9th (that’s 3 AM on Friday in Eastern time).
- The travel dates extend further than those in the first sale; your trip must be completed between December 8th, 2016 and April 17th, 2017.
- Eligible bookings require at least three days of notice. Because the sale is ending so soon, this shouldn’t be an issue in most cases, but it means you can’t book anything in the next couple of days to use immediately.
Sale In Europe
One of our commenters, Mary, found a link for a sale in Europe as well. Prices are up to 30% Off and full details are on the site.
Don't Forget
While we'll always take a discounted rate on a hotel room, be sure you're committed to the night as the bookings are not refundable. A little last minute planning could save you big; especially in Asia.

these are great deals that they usually offer at least twice a year
Thank you for useful information. I will certainly try it for my upcoming trip to London, UK.
Hilton group is very well represented in London. There is some fantastic value too in the outer London hotels. The public transport network in London is pretty good too and I’ve never found getting into the centre from even the outer reaches problematic.
Hilton always seems to have sales on and the rates are usually pretty good. They can be a bit overpriced though when not on sale.
Nice discount in Hilton Millenium Bangkok. Only 3036 THB inc taxes in February.
Asia Pacific hotels sound good to me
I’ve pretty much stopped looking at these “sales”. As a miles/points collector I tend to book our family trips with awards miles/points. Business travel is paid for by the company I work for and the rates using their Corporate Code are generally FAR better than these “sales”. Thanks for posting. Hopefully this is useful to somebody.
GOOD DEALS . Got a few planned already.
There is a Hilton winter sale for Europe.
Thanks Mary! I’ve added a link in the post.
Is Hilton offering a similar promotion for EUROPEAN hotels??
not yet.
Nice discount, but a non-refundable offer is not going to work for us.
Upcoming stay being planned so this helps a lot!
Awesome timing! Good for my upcoming asia trip
Thanks for sharing. Got a good deal for Thailand’s hotel.
