Marriott and Starbucks teamed up to offer reciprocal rewards on coffee purchases and hotel stays, and they even allow point transfers. Another perk of the partnership is the occasional Marriott Bonvoy Week, when you can earn bonus rewards on eligible purchases.

The current iteration of this offer, which features 100 bonus points after three Starbucks purchases, runs through February 22, 2026.

Here’s a quick recap of what the partnership includes, how to earn bonus rewards during this Marriott Bonvoy Week, and whether it ever makes sense to convert Marriott Bonvoy points to Starbucks Stars.

Link Your Marriott Bonvoy and Starbucks Accounts to Earn Reciprocal Rewards

The Marriott-Starbucks partnership offers an easy way to earn Starbucks Stars while you travel and gives you another avenue to rack up rewards on your daily coffee. To earn reciprocal rewards, the first step is to link your Marriott and Starbucks accounts.

If you don’t have an account with either program, both are free to join. Once you’re enrolled, sign in to your Starbucks Rewards account and add your Marriott Bonvoy number to link the two.

After that, you’re ready to earn. Here’s what Starbucks and Marriott are currently offering:

  • Starbucks: Guests can earn double stars on qualifying transactions at participating Starbucks locations during an eligible stay at a Marriott Bonvoy-participating hotel.
  • Marriott: During any designated Marriott Bonvoy Week (such as February 16 through 22, 2026), Starbucks Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy members can earn 100 Marriott Bonvoy points after making three qualifying transactions at participating Starbucks locations.

Earn Bonus Points During Marriott Bonvoy Week

About once a month, members who link their accounts get access to a special Marriott Bonvoy Week. And this month’s offer is currently ongoing. Members can earn 100 Marriott Bonvoy points after making three eligible Starbucks purchases during the current Marriott Bonvoy Week, which runs from February 16 through February 22, 2026.

Eligible purchases include any food, beverage, or merchandise item, excluding alcoholic beverages, Starbucks Card eGifts, and physical Starbucks gift cards. Participating locations include any U.S. Starbucks location where members can earn Stars.

Points will post to the member’s account within two days after the week concludes.

Suffice it to say that the Starbucks Stars you'll earn on qualifying purchases will get you to a free drink faster than 100 Bonvoy points will get you to your next free Marriott night. On average, AwardWallet users redeem Bonvoy points for 0.93¢ apiece, making the 100-point bonus worth less than $1.

Not great, but better than nothing.

Marriott Bonvoy Point Transfers to Starbucks

As AwardWallet first caught in mid-September 2024, Marriott introduced point transfers to Starbucks. Thanks to this, you can transfer Bonvoy points to Starbucks Stars at a ratio of 1,000 points to 100 Stars.

Members can transfer a minimum of 1,000 points and up to 50,000 points per day in 10-point increments to the linked Starbucks Rewards account. To initiate a transfer, click here. Per the terms, the transfer should take up to two days to complete.

Should you transfer Marriott points to Starbucks?

In most cases, transfers don’t offer compelling value. One thousand Marriott points will get you 100 Stars, and almost anything you can buy with those Stars will cost less out of pocket than the value of the Marriott points you’d give up.

So, you're better off saving your Marriott points for free nights or even transferring Bonvoy points to dozens of airlines. While transferring to Starbucks can unlock value, it's poor relative to virtually any other option you have at your fingertips.

Final Thoughts

The Marriott-Starbucks partnership isn’t the most lucrative reciprocal rewards program out there, but it’s still an easy way to earn a little extra. You can pick up double Stars during stays at Marriott hotels and earn 100 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points during the current Marriott Bonvoy Week, which runs through February 22, 2026.

And so you can plan ahead, the next Marriott Bonvoy Week will run from March 16 through March 22, 2026.
