When you think of Singapore Airlines, the first thing that might come to mind is the extravagant Suites Class on the airline's Airbus A380. While Singapore Suites are fabulous (along with the standard first-class and business-class products on most aircraft), its loyalty program, KrisFlyer, is also powerful.
There are a handful of great KrisFlyer sweet spots. And since you can transfer points from American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One, Citi ThankYou® Rewards, and Chase Ultimate Rewards points to KrisFlyer, it's easy to rack up KrisFlyer miles to book said sweet spots.
Let's take a look at the KrisFlyer award charts and discuss six of the best sweet spots to book with your KrisFlyer miles.

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Award Charts
Thanks to its published award charts, Singapore Airlines makes it easy to figure out how many KrisFlyer miles you need for an award flight. There are separate charts for Singapore Airlines flights, Star Alliance partner flights, and flights operated by other partners.
Each Singapore award chart lists zones, showing exactly how many miles you can expect to redeem based on which zone you travel to and from.
First, let's take a look at the KrisFlyer award charts for Singapore Airlines-operated flights. First up is the award chart for one-way advantage awards.

Next, you can see the award chart for one-way saver awards, which require fewer miles for one-way flight redemptions but are often harder to find.

Additionally, KrisFlyer has a separate award chart for flights operated by Star Alliance partner airlines. This award chart reflects round-trip pricing:

Lastly, non-alliance partners, like Virgin Australia, Juneyao Airlines, and Malaysia Airlines, have their own award charts. You can use this calculator if you're still unsure how many miles you'll need for a Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer award redemption.

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Sweet Spots
Now that you have some background on KrisFlyer award redemptions and how much you'll need for a trip, here are six of the loyalty program's best redemptions.
Book United flights within North America
You can book an economy award on United for just 15,000 miles each way. And if you can find availability, you can book a business class or domestic first class award on United using Singapore KrisFlyer miles for 29,000 miles each way. This is a great deal for booking longer domestic flights from coast to coast.

Depending on the route and United's dynamic award pricing, Singapore KrisFlyer's redemption rates are often better than booking with United MileagePlus. However, other Star Alliance loyalty programs — namely, Air Canada Aeroplan and Avianca LifeMiles — offer better rates for short-haul domestic flights.
Redeem for flights between North America and Hawaii
You can book awards between the mainland U.S. and Hawaii for 41,000 KrisFlyer miles round-trip in economy class — or 86,000 miles round-trip in business class, if you can find it.

There are better awards to Hawaii, but almost all require flying from the U.S. West Coast. KrisFlyer offers some of the best award pricing from the U.S. mainland to Hawaii. This makes booking with KrisFlyer an excellent deal for travelers connecting from the Midwest or East Coast.
Fly Singapore Airlines business class from the U.S. to Europe
Flights from the U.S. to Europe cost 89,000 KrisFlyer miles, plus taxes and fees. This isn't an industry-leading deal, but it's a solid way to redeem KrisFlyer miles — especially if you're flying from the West Coast.

If the operating carrier charges them, KrisFlyer passes on fuel surcharges. As such, avoid booking Lufthansa, Swiss, and some other European airlines that add fuel surcharges with KrisFlyer miles. United, TAP Portugal, and LOT Polish Airlines do not add fuel surcharges, so you'll only pay minimal taxes and fees.
For example, the nonstop flight operated by Singapore Airlines from New York to Frankfurt listed above charges just $5.60 in taxes and fees. However, if you booked a flight from New York to Frankfurt with a layover in Brussels (BRU) operated by Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa, you'd pay a whopping $1,165.30 in taxes and fees.

Save 30% on awards with Spontaneous Escapes
Each month, Singapore Airlines Spontaneous Escapes offers 30% discounts on award flights on dozens of routes. Eligible routes vary from month to month, but the 30% discount can make already solid award pricing even more appealing.
For example, one recent month offered premium economy award flights from Singapore (SIN) to New York (JFK) for 59,150 miles each way:

Another recent month offered business class awards from Brisbane (BNE) to Singapore (SIN) for 50,400 miles one-way:

Fly business class from the U.S. West Coast to Asian hubs
KrisFlyer is among the few ways to book Singapore Airlines business class with miles. You'll find the best deals on flights from the U.S. to Singapore (SIN) and the carrier's fifth-freedom route to Tokyo.
For example, you can book Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo-Narita (NRT) in Singapore Airlines business class for 114,000 miles and minimal taxes. While not the best deal for flights to Tokyo, it's one of the few ways to book Singapore business class on this route.

Meanwhile, you can book flights from the U.S. West Coast to Singapore for 112,500 miles plus minimal taxes. Again, this is not the best deal for flights to Asia, but it's the best way to fly Singapore business class on this route with miles.

Book Star Alliance round-trip business class tickets to South America
The final sweet spot on our list is round-trip Star Alliance business class flights from the U.S. to South America. You can book these flights for 143,000 KrisFlyer miles plus taxes and fees on Star Alliance airlines like United Airlines, Air Canada, Copa, or Avianca.
