Delta doesn't publish an official award chart. Delta doesn't let us know when their prices go up or down. So, when Delta has a sale, we're not actually sure how much of a discount (if any) is being offered. So we'll take Delta at their word here that flights to Hawaii are on sale when using SkyMiles.

If the offer was for 35,000/44000 miles from ORD to anywhere in Hawaii I would have booked it immediately.
I really don’t like the fact that Delta doesn’t publish an award chart. It really discourages me from collecting their miles.
What Delta considers a sale is usually a slightly less rip off
I learned of this “sale” too late to even consider it. But, just want to add, getting to HI any way we can is always a welcome point to consider.

Is this really true? Haven’t collected Delta for several other reasons. But, I’m surprised they flout the industry standard here.

There have been some very cheap revenue tickets to Hawaii in the last few months. Probably better to book those than use miles.
This is a sale? Air France’s award chart on Delta is cheaper!
