TSA has announced the addition of Swiss International Airlines to the list of airlines participating in TSA Pre✓. The addition is the first since May 2018 when TSA added 7 new airlines to the program.
Remember TSA Pre✓ is not the only trusted traveler program out there, and there are other options to expedite your progress through an airport like NEXUS, CLEAR, SENTRI, and Global Entry.
Each program has its own nuances but finding the best one for you is pretty simple. Head over to the Department of Homeland Security matching tool, to find which program is best for you. If you do decide to enroll in a trusted traveler program, remember that there are various premium credit cards that will give you an enrolment credit, which would cover the cost of joining one of these programs.
Our Take
Make sure to add your Known Traveler Number to your reservations with SWISS. If you regularly travel, enrolling in TSA Pre✓ is a no-brainer even if you only consider the value of time saved going through security at various airports.

great addition to the program
I flew on Swiss to Zurich in June, I believe I had TSA – Precheck, does it come automatically with Global Entry?
My understanding is that it does not; they are two separate programs. That is to say that you’d need to register for both to be guaranteed TSA Pre. However, I have always heard anecdotally that those with Global Entry are typically TSA Pre cleared as well.
Global Entry includes TSA Precheck. Long story short, both are “trusted traveler” programs. If you have Global Entry or NEXUS, TSA Precheck is included. You can read more at the DHS website: https://www.dhs.gov/trusted-traveler-programs
Still don’t understand why the TSA doesn’t mandate every airline to join it would make life so much easier for those who fly and pay for GE
I don’t think it works quite like that.
The more airlines in the program the bettee
Took them long enough
The more the better – thats true!
Great news!
The more the better. Global Entry & Pre-check makes things much easier.
The more participants the merrier to ease on down the road.
