New American Airlines Companion Upgrades Policy, End of 500-Mile Upgrades

All American Airlines elites now receive complimentary upgrades on domestic and short-haul international flights. Even better, companions traveling with elite members also receive a complimentary upgrade when flying with their elite status travel companion. Any unused 500-mile upgrade certificates will be converted to 250 Loyalty Points on July 31, 2022 - unless you take action before then.
