In November 2025, SIXT replaced its Advantage Circle program with the new SIXT One rewards program for enhanced car rental benefits. The new program allows members to earn and redeem points on car rentals, instead of just receiving discounts. Here are the details of this new program — and how to join to start earning rewards.

Overview of the New SIXT One Rewards Program

SIXT is a global car rental agency with over 100 locations in the U.S. and over 2,200 locations across 105+ countries. While not the biggest, SIXT is frequently voted as the best car rental company. Until October 2025, SIXT had the Advantage Circle loyalty program — which offered up to a 20% discount on car rentals, among other benefits.

Now, SIXT has announced its new SIXT One loyalty program. This new program focuses more on points than discounts. It's free to join, and members start receiving benefits on day one, starting off with Silver status.

New members can sign up through the website. You can also download the SIXT app, join through the app, and access your account there. As soon as you join SIXT One, you will start earning rental points and status points on all car rentals. Silver status also comes with skipping the counter, priority service lanes, and members-only deals.

Earning and redeeming points on SIXT car rentals

Members receive 1 rental point per €1 (as SIXT is a German company). At the time of publishing, one euro is roughly $1.15, meaning you'll earn about 100 points for every $115 spent on car rentals. Members do not earn rental points on taxes, fees, and other charges. Alternatively, you can choose to earn points and miles with one of several hotel and airline partners.

SIXT car rentals booked through a third-party booking site — like Expedia or Kayak — do not earn rental points.

Members can redeem rental points on eligible SIXT car rentals up to seven days in length. SIXT uses dynamic pricing for award rentals, based on date, duration, location, car class, etc. You can also book with a combination of cash and points.

Do SIXT One points expire?

SIXT One rental points are valid for 24 months after the end of the quarter in which they were earned. Expired points are deducted from the member's account at the end of any quarter in which they expire.

Status points are valid until the end of each calendar year. In other words, status points are reset to zero on January 1, regardless of any status achieved in the previous year. No status points roll over to the following year.

SIXT One Status Tiers

The new SIXT One loyalty program has four status tiers — Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. New members start in Silver status. Higher statuses require status points, earned each calendar year:

  • 2,000 points for Gold Status
  • 4,000 points for Platinum Status
  • 6,000 points for Diamond Status

Members will retain their elite status until the end of the calendar year following the year in which they earn it. In other words, whether you earn your status in January or December 2026, you will retain your status until the end of 2027.

Our Take

At this time, SIXT has a limited presence in the U.S., but over 2,200 locations internationally. Wherever you're based or traveling, joining SIXT One is a no-brainer. Members will immediately start earning points to use on future car rentals. Plus, earn other benefits like using the priority service lane and skipping the counter.

When renting from SIXT, it's wise to use one of the best credit cards for travel purchases. It's also good to have a credit card that provides car insurance internationally.
