It’s not every day we get to cover the unveiling of a new credit card, so this moment is pretty exciting.

On March 4, 2026, at its “Take Flight” event, Robinhood unveiled a suite of new financial products, including its first premium card with luxury benefits. This new card — the Robinhood Platinum Card — is set to launch soon.

Here’s what we know so far about this new premium card, plus our early take on whether it might be worth getting if you receive an invitation in your inbox.

Meet the Robinhood Platinum Card: Big Annual Fee, Bigger Benefits

Most recent credit card launches have trended in one direction: premium. And with the Robinhood Platinum Card on the way, it’s fair to say that trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

There’s plenty of demand for premium cards. And for Robinhood, adding a new high-end option that sits above the Robinhood Gold Card is a natural expansion of its credit card lineup.

This new card is Robinhood’s attempt to capture cardholders willing to pay a large annual fee in exchange for a massive package of benefits. And there are a lot of benefits. To put a number on it, the Robinhood Platinum Card will carry a $695 annual fee but promises “over $3,000 in value every year.”

Benefits

These days, premium cards are almost synonymous with coupon book-style statement credits. And that’s largely how you’ll unlock that rather lopsided amount of value after paying the Robinhood Platinum Card’s $695 annual fee.

Here’s what will be on offer for primary cardholders:

Travel benefits

  • $300 annual travel statement credit: Receive up to $300 in annual statement credits for travel purchases made with the Robinhood Platinum Card, issued as $150 every six months. Eligible purchases include flights, hotels, rideshare services, and other travel-related expenses, and bookings do not need to be made through the Robinhood travel portal.
  • $500 hotel booking credits via Robinhood Travel portal: Receive up to $250 in statement credits every six months for qualifying luxury hotel bookings made through the Robinhood Travel portal. Up to $100 of that credit can be used toward standard hotel bookings. Eligible hotels are identified in the app, and a minimum two-night stay is required.
  • Priority Pass Select airport lounge membership: Receive a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership that provides unlimited lounge visits to participating lounges for the primary cardholder. Enrollment is required.
  • Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit: Receive up to $120 in statement credits every four years when Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fees are charged to the Robinhood Platinum Card. Only one credit is available per program cycle.

Lifestyle benefits

  • $250 annual dining statement credits: Receive a $20 monthly credit for eligible restaurant purchases plus an additional $10 credit in December, totaling up to $250 per year. More than 15,000 local restaurants are eligible.
  • DoorDash DashPass membership and monthly discounts: Activate a complimentary DoorDash DashPass membership and receive up to three $10 discounts each January and up to two $10 discounts in every other month. Discounts apply to qualifying delivery orders with a minimum $50 subtotal, excluding fees and taxes.
  • Function Health membership credit: Receive a $365 annual statement credit after activating a Function Health membership and charging it to the Robinhood Platinum Card. Additional fees may vary by state.
  • Amazon One Medical membership: Receive a sponsored annual Amazon One Medical membership, which includes 24/7 on-demand virtual care and same or next-day appointment booking in many U.S. cities. In-office and scheduled remote visits are billed to insurance or the individual.
  • Oura membership credit: Cardholders who purchase an Oura Ring can receive a complimentary one-year Oura Membership. To qualify, cardholders must opt in through the Robinhood Banking app and purchase an Oura Ring with a prepaid annual membership within six months. Once the charge posts, a $70 statement credit will be issued.
  • $200 health wearables statement credit: Receive up to $200 in annual statement credits for qualifying health wearable purchases. Additional details are available in the Robinhood app.
  • $250 autonomous rides statement credit: Receive up to $250 per year in statement credits for qualifying autonomous ride purchases, issued as a $20 monthly credit plus an additional $10 credit in December.

Robinhood benefits

  • Complimentary Robinhood Gold membership: Receive a complimentary Robinhood Gold membership, which provides access to premium investing tools and features.

Authorized user benefits

In addition, the Robinhood Platinum Card will offer paid authorized users the following benefits:

  • Function Health annual membership
  • Amazon One Medical annual membership
  • Oura membership
  • Priority Pass Select membership
  • Global Entry or TSA PreCheck reimbursement

Authorized users can be added for free, but at the time of writing, Robinhood hasn't disclosed the cost for paid authorized users who want access to the five benefits listed above.

Earning rates

The Robinhood Platinum Card earns cash back denominated as points. Here’s what cardholders will earn:

  • 10% on hotels booked through the Robinhood Travel portal
  • 10% on rental cars booked through the Robinhood Travel portal
  • 5% on flights booked through the Robinhood Travel portal
  • 5% on dining on the first $50,000 spent in the category each year, then 1%
  • 1% on all other purchases

Of these categories, dining is the most interesting due to the lucrative multiplier, even though earnings are capped.

However, there’s one big catch. You won’t be able to pair the Robinhood Gold Card (which earns 3% on everything) with the Robinhood Platinum Card. This detail was revealed during the card’s unveiling event, and it’s a rather unfortunate limitation.

Redemption options

From what we can tell, redemption options with the Robinhood Platinum Card will mirror those currently available with the Robinhood Gold Card. This means you can redeem the cash back (technically points) you earn for things like:

  • Deposits into your Robinhood brokerage account
  • Mystery boxes (randomized boosted rewards or extra points)
  • Statement credits
  • Gift cards and merchandise
  • Travel booked through the Robinhood Travel portal
  • And more

While it would be nice to see Robinhood roll out transfer partners, it’s unclear whether that’s even in the fintech’s plans.

How to Get the Robinhood Platinum Card

The Robinhood Platinum Card isn’t available yet, but it should be soon. On the card’s landing page, there’s a box where you can request access, and once the card launches, Robinhood will (maybe) send a link to apply.

That said, the launch event made it sound like Robinhood may prioritize inviting existing Robinhood Gold Card users to upgrade to the Platinum Card via email. But we'll have to see how this plays out in practice.

And as mentioned, you’ll only be able to hold one Robinhood credit card at a time, so you’ll have to decide whether the premium benefits and hefty annual fee are worth it for you.

Bottom Line

In the near future, the Robinhood Platinum Card will hit the market for the first time.

If we had to boil this new card down into a few words, it’d be a pricey card whose benefits could easily outweigh the annual fee. Then again, that description fits most premium cards out there today.

Whether you should get it will likely depend on what else is already in your wallet. The Robinhood Platinum Card offers a handful of benefits you won’t find on other premium cards, but it also includes several that could be redundant if you already carry multiple premium cards.

Personally, I don’t think it’s for me. I’m pretty partial to my Robinhood Gold Card, which I use as one of my catch-all cards. And as long as Robinhood limits customers to just one card, I’d probably stick with that one for its lack of an annual fee and simpler earning structure rather than upgrade to another premium card that's not terribly rewarding to spend on.

What about you? What are your thoughts on the Robinhood Platinum Card?
