Mabuhay Miles is a big time disappointment. *You stay loyal by flying with PAL but as soon as you redeem flights you are treated as a third class citizen. They will throw you on whatever flight that is convenient for them. Weird. *Miles earned does not appear automatically even after 7 days from departure. Example, all of our flights were booked as a single purchase with all our membership numbers entered. However, only one of four travellers got the miles reflected on the account. The other three accounts, we needed to contact them so they can enter the mileage. Weird. After they have expired our 30k+ points for each account, this is our first time to try to redeem as we have again earned points enough for domestic flights. Unfortunately, we had to find out this is what Mabuhay Miles is in reality. No, I won't be trusting this program. It's worse than a clickbait as this involves us giving them money in order to earn miles.

After your long flights and your back to your business as usual - please do not trust "Mabuhay Miles" that they will credited your mileage automatically. PAL is so "tricky" that even we ask the ground crew to make sure our flights is credited. No way! you can trust them - I check online our mileage are not credited - unless you call the hotline 1800 435 9725 and go through a long process of confirmation and their intention is to give you a hard time so that you can hang-up on the call...

Get this ONLY if: 1) You frequently fly domestic in the Philippines 2) You frequently need direct flights from Manila to other international major cities. (ex. MNL to LHR) As of 18 August 2016, Etihad and All Nippon Airways are partner airlines. If you don't live in the Philippines, it's better if you check the Etihad Guest or ANA Mileage Club first. Almost no chance of joining one of the Top 3 Airline Alliances in the future, because of overlap with the other members. PAL is still much better than Cebu Pacific though. Check the reviews in other places, Cebu Pacific's treatment of customers is so bad, you should only get from them if you're desperate. At least PAL treats you like a human being. If you live in the Philippines, there are a few travel credit cards that will allow you to transfer points: PNB Mabuhay Miles, Citibank PremierMiles, et cetera My father gets elite because he frequently flies domestic and has 1 or 2 long haul flights a year. They have the usual stuff: extra baggage allowance, better treatment, priority boarding, etc. He's been bumped up to business class a few times. Don't get your hopes up on business class though, it utterly pales in comparison to first-world carriers. If you're a tall person (6 feet) with long legs, try to get business class or the seats with more leg room. The planes were designed for shorter people. I'm 5 feet only and I have a lot of leg room. Overall, if you're Filipino or a permanent resident of the Philippines, get this. There's not much choice at the moment.

Mediocre program at best, first class seating on flights within the Philippines is a joke. Online functionality of the site is atrocious. Helpdesk returned an email over 2 weeks later
