Do you have any unredeemed loyalty points? Frontier has an idea on how you should use them. For a limited time, you can match up to 5,000 of your miles from most airline loyalty programs to Frontier Miles. And considering that Frontier flights start at just 5,000 miles each way, this is a pretty lucrative promotion.

However, the total number of miles awarded is 70 million, so you'll want to act quickly. Here's what you need to know.

Earn up to 5,000 Frontier Miles With ‘The Big Redemption' Promotion

Before there were Frontier Miles, there were Pepsi Points. And in 1996, John Leonard attempted to redeem 7 million Pepsi Points for a military-grade fighter jet. Ultimately, he was unsuccessful, but Frontier is attempting to make it right by allowing him to convert his 7 million unused Pepsi Points to 7 million Frontier Miles.

And that's not all — Frontier is allowing all other Frontier members to join in on the fun and match their unused loyalty points to Frontier Miles.

Through Frontier's The Big Redemption promotion, you can match up to 5,000 airline miles to Frontier Miles:

  • Match up to 1,000 eligible points or miles, receive 1,000 Frontier Miles.
  • Match 1,001 to 4,999 points or miles, receive Frontier Miles at a 1:1 ratio.
  • Match 5,000+ points or miles, receive 5,000 Frontier Miles.

You can access the promotion here, and once you submit your claim, you will receive your miles within five business days. The promotion technically runs through February 22, 2026, but only 70 million miles are available to be matched. And at the time of writing (just one day after the launch of the promotion), only 48.7 million miles remained.

So, if you want to earn up to 5,000 miles, you'll want to submit your claim as soon as possible. Luckily, almost all loyalty programs are eligible.

Frontier Award Flights Start at 5,000 Miles

Frontier award flights start at just 5,000 miles each way, which means you could theoretically book a one-way flight using the miles awarded through this promotion.

This includes routes like Philadelphia (PHL) to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU):

As well as transcontinental routes, like from San Francisco (SFO) to Atlanta (ATL):

Keep in mind that these 5,000-mile award flights are for basic fares, which are incredibly restrictive on low cost airlines like Frontier. You'll be able to bring a personal item, but you will have to pay to bring a carry-on or checked bag, if you want to choose your seat, or if you want priority boarding.

Still, 5,000 miles through The Big Redemption promotion can knock the price of an economy bundle to just a few thousand miles each way. You can also use your miles to purchase bundles, starting at just 2,000 miles.

Bottom Line

The Big Redemption is a fun way to get some use out of your accumulated miles. If you have up to 5,000 points sitting in an account, you can match them to Frontier Miles through February 22, 2026, or until 70 million miles have been awarded to members. It's likely that the latter will come first, so we recommend matching as soon as possible. And if you need some extra miles for an upcoming redemption, you can always buy Frontier Miles, sometimes at a discount.
