Rove Miles is one of the newest entrants into the points and miles space. The company offers a standalone loyalty program that allows you to earn miles for a wide range of travel bookings and online shopping. Currently, you can transfer Rove Miles to 13 airline and hotel programs or redeem miles for paid travel at a solid rate through the Rove travel portal.

Like every other program, Rove Miles has a stated expiration policy… However, the good news is that it's as good a policy as you could hope for.

Do Rove Miles Expire?

Rove Miles do not expire based on activity. As long as your account is open in good standing, your miles will remain active. Per the Rove Mile Terms and Conditions page:

“Rove Miles do not currently expire based on account inactivity. You may maintain your Miles indefinitely, provided your account remains in good standing and you comply with these Rewards Terms.”

Earning Rove Miles

The fact that Rove Miles do not expire means you can earn and redeem Rove Miles without having the fear of losing them. You can earn Rove Miles in any of the following ways:

  • Flights: Earn between 1X and 10X for flight bookings with 140 airlines.
  • Shopping: Earn Rove Miles for shopping with over 7,000 merchants.
  • Hotels: Earn up to 25X Rove Miles (and sometimes even more than that!) for hotel bookings with various brands.

How Rove Miles work

If you are wondering what the catch and the opportunity cost of using Rove Miles are, there isn’t one! You make your purchase (flight/hotel and so forth) through the Rove Portal, or via the Rove Chrome extension, and you earn miles. It's that simple.

What sets Rove apart from other online travel portals is that you can opt to book loyalty-eligible bookings through Rove. That means you'll earn points via Rove, the hotel loyalty program, and your credit card — letting you triple-dip on hotel stays! Plus you'll still receive your elite status benefits.

This is unlike any other third-party or travel agent bookings — which typically are booked in a way that prevents you from receiving elite status benefits and earning points and miles.

AwardWallet Tip of The Day
Did you know that any loyalty account can be marked as Disabled? Once disabled, AwardWallet will not attempt to update the account. If desired, you can manually mark any account as disabled. Additionally, if you provide us with an account that has invalid credentials, we will automatically mark it as disabled after we realize this account cannot be updated. We do this to help prevent your loyalty account from locking you out.
