Following on from its announcement last month that Kimpton Properties are now part of IHG Rewards club, you can now pick up a bonus of 10,000 points for staying in any Kimpton property before April 30, 2018.
- You need to register for the IHG Accelerate Promo
- Earn 10,000 points for staying once before April 30, 2018
- Allow 6-8 weeks after your stay for the points to post to your account
One thing to note about this promo is that it seems to be part of the IHG Accelerate Promo for Q1, 2018, but it does not appear as one of your tasks. In fact, the only place you will find a reference to the offer is on the signup page for the Accelerate promo.
Clicking on the terms and conditions will take you to details of the Kimpton Promo.
Maximizing The Promotion
As with everything with IHG, you can maximize your points earning by using your IHG® Rewards Club Premier Credit Card to pay for your stay at the Kimpton property. You will pick up an extra 10x points per dollar spent in addition to the bonus and the normal points for your stay. The card also comes with a host of other benefits including complimentary Platinum status, and an annual free night certificate, which can be redeemed at any IHG property worldwide up to 40,000 points in value.
Per the IHG website, there are 66 Kimpton properties in the world. However, there is only one in Europe (Amsterdam) and one in the Caribbean (Grand Cayman); the other 64 are located in North America. So non-US based IHG members will find it very difficult to take advantage of this promo.
