American Express has announced a promotion offering a 25% bonus on Membership Rewards transfers to JetBlue. The last time Amex ran a transfer bonus to JetBlue was in May when it also ran a 25% transfer promo. With this promo, you will receive 250 TrueBlue points per 250 Membership Rewards points instead of the standard 200 TrueBlue points.
Key Terms
- Promo is valid through 23:59 MT November 30, 2017
- Receive 250 TrueBlue points for each 250 Membership Rewards points transferred
- Minimum transfer is 250 Membership Rewards points
- There is a transfer fee of $0.0006 per points transferred, up to a maximum of $99 per transfer (we don't understand why Amex does this — they're the only program that charges this fee)

Overall
JetBlue has a great loyalty program, which offers amongst other things quite a few ways to pick up TrueBlue points. While transferring credit card points speculatively is not recommended, a transfer bonus can be good news especially if you are a few miles short of a redemption, or know you will be.

It’s always good to look for these transfer promos. Now to see where I want to fly.
It would be nice if the transfer rate from Amex to JetBlue was normally 1:1 so that any bonus would make it greater than just 1:1.
Nice! Get a few thousand extra points transferred when was already doing it!
Thank you for the heads up! I just saw that JetBlue added MSP to their cities so they might just be getting something that I might like to fly to. Just an airline that I don’t have anyway right now to use.
Membership Rewards points never had a lot of great redemption options. The gift cards are limited, and the cash/prepaid card option gives you half the value. On the other hand, Jet Blue miles don’t expire
From what I understand, Amex only charges this fee to transfer to US airlines. So that’s something to keep in mind it true. The fee is probably worth it to top off an account with the points required for a redemption and certainly helps to deal with the poor transfer ratio to JetBlue.
Nice. If you want to use on JB. Amex pts worth more to me
thx for the heads up!!
This looks like a doer.
Thankfully the current bonus helps lessen the pain caused by an otherwise poor transfer ratio
Thanks for the heads up!
I dislike the idea whenever I have to pay transfer taxes!
Great promotion for transfers. Personally I’d like to see a bonus to ANA.
So, if you transfer the minimum of 250 points the fee is a whopping 15 cents. My guess is Amex charges this fee to raise their expenses for accounting for this and lower their profits overall. But, in a corporate think sort of way, they can say they do this and look at the (gross) income from this program. Just saying.
This could add up if you’re transferring a high volume of points.
Please note: this is only for U.S. members.
That is a safe assumption whenever we post about Membership Rewards promotions.
Decent way to top off for a flight if you had to.
Thanks for the heads up!
