Round-trip awards in business class from Bangkok to Copenhagen or Stockholm will set you back 65,000 miles, while a round trip to Moscow will set you back 49,000 miles. Dubai is also good value, with a round trip setting you back 37,500 miles.
Boosting Your THAI Balance
If you are little short of THAI miles, you can always boost your mileage balance by transferring Citi ThankYou points to THAI. Points transfer at a ratio of 1:1, and typically can take up to five days to occur. So, if you are thinking of taking advantage of this promotion, be aware that award availability can change while you’re waiting for your miles to post.
Our Take
If your travel dates and times work, then this promotion could be very lucrative. By far the best value is a long-haul flight to Europe or Dubai in Royal Silk class. In fact, the only question that remains is how to get to Thailand in time to take advantage of the promotion!

Great deal but narrow validity period,
however I think Thai will have this promotion again, because this year is not a great year for Thailand tourism,Chinese tourists decline in number because of US – China trade war.
good promotion.
but booking for award travle is difficult … because of have few seats.
This offer sounds like a good one.
The Thai airways frequent flyer program is one that I don’t see discussed very much. I guess since it is only a Citi TY points transfer partner, it is not as easy to use as some of the other programs. This is good information for future travels.
I think it’s discussed less because used by less people.
Of course there could be some nice opportunities also in this programmes.
Personally, I prefer concentrate myself in a subset of programmes otherwise it would be necessary much more time if I would extend the study in something else.
Great deal if your travel schedule/timing and destination work for this! Have a few people that might jump on this deal ASAP.
This is a great offer if you can use it. Award sales help your hard earned points go further.
The destination list is not huge to get excited about.
Thanks for the tip. Window and locations seem a little tight though. But it’s another good reason to beef up my Thank You points.
Great deal! Hope they continue to offer these discounts, and most importantly, return to flying to the US. I have a lot more of Thailand to explore. I’m still looking for The Beach ?
Thanks for a few seconds of distraction looking up your reference. Ah, I see: https://www.travelrepublic.co.uk/famous-film-locations/the-beach
This will work great for my trip to Thailand. Changing my flights right now! Thanks!
I don’t really have any long haul flights coming that would get value from this, but thanks for posting.
It looks like a good deal that I can avail to.
Looks like a great deal, but the RT requirement makes it tough…
This looks intriguing! I would love to use this to plan my trip to Asia.
Looks like most of the eligible destinations are TG’s secondary market.
Too bad Frankfurt and Paris are not included.
Thai airways gets pretty good reviews…. this just might be a worthwhile offer
No doubt the 50% off is a great deal, and even getting to BKK is not an insurmountable hurdle; it’s the RT requirement that is probably going to be the real value-killer here.
I really wish I wasnt under 5/24 and actually had MR and thank you points. I keep seeing all of the good deals and I’m sitting over here trying to grab up all the chase business and personal cards I can. MS is out for me so it takes a little longer to hit the CC spends when I refuse to pay a fee to pay my mortgage.
Any option to transfer from Chase UR or Amex MR?
Nope, unfortunately not.
It’s obvious that you get get the most out of this by taking a long-haul flight to Europe or Dubai in Royal Silk class. I’ll consider this option.
It is too late to have an epic Scandinavian summer 2019 adventure in style with this promotion. You can already smell crisp autumn in the air during the first week of September 🙁
Yes such a narrow travel window!
nice savings for sure!!! too bad I’m not heading to any of those destinations.
Seems like a good deal…if the limited destinations fit your travel plans
