What Is TimeShifter?
TimeShifter is an app that helps to modify your internal circadian (24-hour) clock in order to reduce jet lag when you travel. The app claims that most jet lag advice is false and not based on real science, saying it often makes jet lag worse.

Astronauts, business executives, sports teams, and many other frequent travelers use TimeShifter with a high level of success, based on the reviews. The app gives advice such as when to have bright or dim light before your flight, when to stop drinking coffee and when to resume, how and when to use melatonin, etc.
Using TimeShifter to beat jet lag
I tried out TimeShifter on a trip to Thailand and found it worked well. Through regular updates, the app told me when to sleep, when to drink coffee, and when to avoid blue or bright light. I don't always experience much jet lag (possibly because I travel so often), but by following the TimeShifter schedule, I hardly noticed any effects.
