- There is a charge of $0.0006 per point transferred, up to a maximum of $99. The fee is to cover the federal excise tax paid on points conversions. If you can, charge this to your card; don't cover it with points.
The terms and conditions suggest it takes up to 48 hours for the points to show up in your JetBlue account, but they'll likely appear instantly.

Ways To Maximize This Amex-JetBlue Transfer Bonus
JetBlue TrueBlue is a revenue-based program. What's great about it is that you can redeem points for virtually any seat on a flight, should one be available. The downside is that the number of points required fluctuates with the cash cost of the ticket.
Based on thousands of AwardWallet user redemptions, your JetBlue points are worth approximately 1.24¢ each. In other words, you'll get marginally okay value on a cent-per-point basis, but it's far from what users typically redeem Amex points for — which averages around 1.96¢ apiece.
You're likely better off holding the Amex transfer to JetBlue if you're just looking to book JetBlue flights. Unless you already have several points and need to top off your account for a specific redemption, you can find better ways to redeem your rewards. However, there is one big exception to this rule.

When it makes sense to transfer Amex points to JetBlue
JetBlue has a short list of partner airlines whose flights you can book with TrueBlue points. The two most notable ones are Qatar Airways and Etihad. You can unlock plenty of value with the former, and we'll highlight why.
Fancy heading to the Middle East? JetBlue will let you fly there on Qatar Airways for just 39,000 points, or 79,000 points, if you want to splurge for Qatar's famous Qsuite. With this transfer bonus, you can book these awards for 32k and 64k Amex points, respectively.
If you take the business class option, you'll score over 7¢ per TrueBlue point — based on round-trip pricing. That's incredible.
You could also fly further to somewhere like the Maldives, but locating a lie-flat award is more difficult. If you're considering flying economy, think again. Other Amex transfer partners can get you from the U.S. to the Maldives in economy for less than JetBlue can.
