Calling all Las Vegas and Atlantic City aficionados. Caesars has launched a new Diamond Tier Match with one notable change — the status match also applies to existing Caesars status holders! And, there's an opportunity to keep Caesars Diamond status until early 2028 as well.

Let's dig into the options available for earning Caesars Rewards Diamond through a status match — and why you might want it in the first place.

2026 Caesars Diamond Tier Match

Now through December 31, 2026, Caesars Rewards members can request a free status match to Caesars Diamond.

The catch? To qualify for the new match, new or existing Caesars Rewards members must visit a Rewards Center in person at Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, or Tropicana in Atlantic City.

To qualify, members must bring a casino card from a competing Atlantic City casino and their valid photo ID. Caesars will accept matches from the following properties:

  • Ocean Casino Resort: Prime or Reserve
  • Hard Rock Atlantic City: X Card
  • Borgata: Gold, Platinum, or Noir
  • Bally’s Atlantic City: Legend
  • Resorts: Paramount, Paramount Plus, or Red Carpet
  • Golden Nugget: Chairman or Elite

Once matched, you'll need to earn just 100 tier credits for the Diamond benefits to load onto your account.

Extending your Caesars Diamond status

It gets even better for those hoping to maintain their Caesars Diamond status beyond this match. Caesars notes that members matched to Diamond “will have a set amount of Tier Credits to earn to maintain their status through 2027 with a January 31, 2028 expiration.”

Here's how the disclaimer reads from Caesars:

Open to existing and new Caesars Rewards members. Guests who participated in the tier match in 2025 are not eligible to match in 2026. Competitor players cards must be valid with a current expiration date and the member's name printed on the card must match the member's valid photo ID.

Maintain Diamond Status Tier Offer: Members who are Tier Matched to Diamond as part of the 2026 Tier Matching program will have a set amount of Tier Credits to earn to maintain their status through 2027 with a January 31, 2028 expiration. The Tier Credits earning requirements will be different for each member based on the month they were upgraded to Diamond status. Visit a Caesars Rewards Center in Atlantic City for more information.

Caesars Rewards Tiers Overview

Caesars is one of several dominant gaming corporations on the Las Vegas Strip. With eight mega-resorts lighting up the Vegas skyline and dozens more sprinkled throughout North America, Caesars is hard to ignore if you're a gambler. Its loyalty program, Caesars Rewards, caters to that audience, but those in the points-and-miles world know it's possible to match into Diamond status.

There are six elite tiers in the Caesars Rewards program, and Diamond sits two levels above entry-level Gold. Earning Diamond typically requires collecting 15,000 tier credits in a year. You can earn tier credits from casino spending, spending at associated hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

While Gold status is automatic upon enrolling, the other status tiers require the following number of tier credits annually:

  • Gold: 0
  • Platinum: 5,000
  • Diamond: 15,000
  • Diamond Plus: 25,000
  • Diamond Elite: 75,000
  • Seven Stars: 150,000

What Are The Benefits of Caesars Diamond Status?

Caesars Diamond status is worth having for many reasons. If you've visited Las Vegas, you know room rates can be inexpensive before the dreaded resort fees are tacked on. Caesars Rewards — like MGM Rewards — waives resort fees at certain tiers, including Diamond. But there's other benefits, including the following:

  • Guaranteed room with 72 hours' notice in Atlantic City and Las Vegas
  • Free or discounted rooms
  • Priority lines at hotel check-in, casino cages, and the Caesars Rewards center
  • Complimentary stay at the Atlantis Bahamas
  • Tier status matches to Wyndham Rewards
  • Tier status matches to National Rental Club
  • $100 Celebration Dinner or $50 Uber Eats credit
  • $20 monthly bonus bet on $100 sports bet
  • $40 birthday month bonus bet on $100 sports bet

Caesars has adjusted benefits over the years to ensure members who receive matched status aren’t accessing the richest perks entirely free. For example, the Diamond celebration dinner now requires members who get Diamond status for free (like through a match from Wyndham) to earn 100 Tier Credits.

Other Shortcuts to Earning Caesars Diamond Status

Can't make it to Atlantic City? Or don't have a qualifying competitor status? Here are other shortcuts to earning Caesars Diamond status.

Earning status through credit card spend

While you might think using the Caesars Rewards Visa Signature® could help you reach Caesars Diamond, it's not your best path here. You'll earn 2,500 tier credits after spending $5,000 on the card in a calendar year, but further spending won't provide any extra tier credits — leaving you short of the 15,000 tier credits needed for Diamond status. You will receive Platinum status when you use your card within the first 90 days of approval, however.

The better bet is the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature®, which offers a pathway to Diamond through $50,000 in spending on the card in a calendar year. You'll earn an annual bonus of 15,000 tier credits after reaching that threshold.

Status match from Wyndham Rewards

Another way to gain Caesars Diamond status is through Wyndham Rewards. Caesars will match Wyndham Platinum to Caesars Platinum and Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Diamond.

However, Caesars no longer matches Wyndham status that was itself obtained through a match or earned via a Wyndham credit card. While ending that loop frustrated some members, it aligns with Caesars’ broader tightening of match benefits.

If you qualify, there's information from Wyndham on how to request a Caesars Diamond status match. Wyndham Diamond requires 40 nights and Wyndham Platinum requires just 15 nights in a Wyndham bed annually.

Bottom Line

If you're frequenting Las Vegas, saving on resort fees can be a big savings (so long as you don't lose all your money in the casino). Caesars Diamond is a great status to have for that purpose. However, Caesars' properties can often be “midtier” when compared to more luxurious options on the Strip. Marriott has partnered with MGM, for example, which may pair with your existing status better than these status matches.

But if you can take advantage of this Caesars status match and make the most of it, keep in mind that you'll need to complete the match in-person at a Caesars property in Atlantic City. However, there's ample time to do so, as the match runs through Dec. 31, 2026.
