Just like clockwork: Air France-KLM Flying Blue announces a major devaluation on award tickets, and then it immediately announces a rather lucrative promotion. For a limited time, you can earn 10,000 bonus Flying Blue miles when you book an economy ticket from the U.S. to any Air France or KLM destination worldwide.
You'll need to book by August 31, 2026, and complete your travels by January 31, 2027. Here are all the details.

This offer is valid on paid Air France and KLM flights in the economy cabin between the U.S. and worldwide destinations. However, at least one segment of your itinerary must be from the U.S. to Paris (CDG) on Air France or Amsterdam (AMS) on KLM to qualify.
This is in addition to the number of miles you'd normally earn based on your Flying Blue elite status:
- Explorer: 4 miles per euro
- Silver: 6 miles per euro
- Gold: 7 miles per euro
- Platinum and Platinum for Life: 8 miles per euro
- Flying Blue Ultimate: 9 miles per euro
Terms and conditions
Registration isn't required for this Flying Blue bonus miles promotion, but you can access the terms and conditions on the Air France or KLM websites.
- Booking window: August 19 to August 31, 2026.
- Travel window: August 19, 2026, to January 31, 2027.
- Eligibility: All Flying Blue members with United States residency noted in their Flying Blue profile.
- Flights: Valid on new Air France and KLM marketed and operated flights with an Air France or KLM flight number between the United States and worldwide destinations (and vice versa) in the economy cabin. At least one segment must be from the U.S. to Paris (CDG) to Amsterdam (AMS).
- Exclusions: Government taxes, fees, ancillary purchases, reward tickets, complimentary upgrades, and any fares excluded under Flying Blue's general mileage accrual rules are not eligible.
- Other notes:
- The 10,000 mile bonus is awarded once per eligible member.
- You must add your Flying Blue number to your booking before traveling.
- Bonus miles may take up to six weeks after travel is completed to post to your account alongside your regular miles.

Flying Blue Promotions With Closed Booking Windows
The following Flying Blue promotions have closed booking windows but travel windows that are still open.
Earn double Flying Blue miles on paid Air France or KLM Flights
This promotion allowed Flying Blue members to earn double Flying Blue miles on flights booked by July 23 and completed between September 1 and November 30, 2026. It was valid on paid Air France and KLM flights in Economy, Premium, Premium Comfort, and Business class between the U.S. and worldwide destinations on two flights during the promotional period.
This promotion was targeted, but if eligible, Explorer members could earn 8 miles per euro, while elite members could earn up to 18 miles per euro.
Earn 10k bonus miles on eligible economy flights
This Flying Blue promotion let eligible members earn a one-time bonus of 10,000 miles on eligible economy flights from the U.S. to any Air France or KLM destination. Flights had to be booked by May 3, and travel must be completed by September 30, 2026.
To qualify, the first outbound segment must depart from an Air France or KLM gateway in the U.S., with at least one segment flying nonstop from the U.S. to either Paris (CDG) or Amsterdam (AMS). From there, travelers can continue to any destination served by Air France or KLM.
The 10,000-mile bonus is awarded once per eligible member and is earned in addition to the regular Flying Blue miles from the paid fare. Eligible flights must be marketed and operated by Air France or KLM.

If you were already planning a trip from the U.S. to Europe or beyond, it could be worth booking a paid Air France or KLM ticket. Doing so will earn you 10,000 bonus Flying Blue miles on eligible flights, which can help you build your balance for a future award redemption.
