And as of today, May 12, that list has grown once again. Choice just added LATAM Airlines as its 15th airline transfer partner, giving travelers yet another option for converting hotel points into miles.
If you're not already familiar with Choice Privileges transfer partners, now’s a great time to catch up. In this guide, we’ll walk through the full list of Choice Privileges transfer partners, explain how to make a transfer, and break down whether it’s actually a good use of your points.

Choice Privileges Adds LATAM as Airline Transfer Partner
On May 12, Choice added LATAM Airlines as a new Choice Privileges airline transfer partner. Like most other Choice transfer partners, the transfer ratio is set at 5:1, meaning you'll get 1,000 LATAM Pass miles for every 5,000 Choice points transferred. However, you can transfer points in increments of just 1,000 Choice points. That means a 6,000-point transfer would net 1,200 LATAM miles.

List of Choice Privileges Transfer Partners
With this new addition, here's the full list of Choice Privileges airline transfer partners with transfer ratios and minimum transfer amounts:
The best value is to transfer Choice points to Qantas Frequent Flyer and Virgin Australia Velocity Frequent Flyer, where the ratio is a much improved 5:2 instead of the standard 5:1. Transfers to Southwest Rapid Rewards are at a slightly better 5:2.5 ratio.
However, the ratios are not outstanding. This program isn't generally as valuable as its rival Marriott. For reference, you can transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to nearly 40 airlines at a 3:1 ratio and collect a 5,000-point bonus for every 60,000 points you transfer (to almost every airline).
Choice New Airline Transfer Partner History
Here's a brief history of when Choice added new airline transfer partners.
March 2025: Choice Privileges adds LifeMiles
Starting March 25, travelers can now transfer Choice Privileges points to Avianca LifeMiles. As with most Choice transfer partners, the transfer rate is 5:1 with a minimum transfer of 5,000 Choice points. Above that minimum, you can transfer points in increments of 1,000 points. You'll get 200 LifeMiles for every 1,000 Choice points transferred.
If you have endless Choice points, note that there's a cap of 250,000 Choice points transferred.

LifeMiles are historically one of our favorite currencies. However, two recent devaluations have really bitten into the value of LifeMiles. Gone are 6,500-mile domestic awards on United and 45k business class awards to Europe.
However, you can still get value from LifeMiles on certain 7,500-mile domestic awards, and LifeMiles remains one of the best ways to book Lufthansa First Class using miles — especially on routes not touching the United States.
It's also worth noting that Avianca often sells LifeMiles with a bonus or discount. If you need to top off your LifeMiles account, it may be a better deal to buy LifeMiles than burn your Choice Privileges points.
June 2024: Choice Privileges adds Avios programs
In June 2024, Choice added three Avios loyalty programs as transfer partners:
- British Airways Executive Club
- Iberia Plus
- Aer Lingus AerClub
Points transfer at a 5:1 ratio in increments of 1,000 points with a minimum of 5,000 Choice points. And remember, you can transfer Avios for free between all programs that use the currency. As such, this latest development makes Qatar Airways and Finnair unofficial de facto transfer partners for Choice Privileges points. However, you must first transfer them to one of the above three programs.
How to Transfer Choice Points to Airline Transfer Partners
Transferring Choice Privileges points to airlines is relatively straightforward, but let's walk you through the process. First, browse to Choice's Exchange Your Points page. Select the airline loyalty program you'd like to transfer your points to.

You'll be prompted to sign into your Choice Privileges account if you aren't already logged in. Next, you'll need to provide your first name, last name, and account number for the destination program.

And that's it! You can now transfer your Choice Privileges points to your desired program.

Is It Worth Transferring Your Choice Points to Airlines?
A free night at Choice Privileges generally ranges between 6,000 and 35,000 points — although high-end properties can now climb even higher. Choice points transfer to most airline partners at a 5:1 transfer ratio. Given the choice between 10,000 Choice points — enough to book a night at several hotels — or 2,000 miles, you'll generally get more value by using your Choice points for stays.
Consider that AwardWallet members redeem Choice Privileges points for an average value of 0.6¢ apiece. At this redemption rate, 5,000 Choice points are worth around $30. That means you'll need to redeem your airline miles for over 3 cents apiece for it to make sense to convert these Choice points to airline miles.
The math is a bit better for Choice's Australian airline partners. Thanks to the improved 5:2 transfer ratio, you'll only need to get around 1.5 USD cents (currently around 2.38 AUD cents) from your Qantas or Virgin Australia Velocity points to justify transferring Choice points.
How to Build Your Choice Privileges Points Balance
Credit cards are a top way to build your Choice points balance, whether you're looking to grow your balance for a redemption — or a backdoor way to earn more airline miles. Wells Fargo offers a couple of Choice credit cards with compelling welcome offers:

Rates & Fees
- 5x points on stays at participating Choice Hotels® properties plus on Choice Privileges point purchases
- 3x points on purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, home improvement stores and on phone plan services
- 1x points on other purchases

Rates & Fees
- 10x points on stays at participating Choice Hotels® properties plus on Choice Privileges point purchases
- 5x points on purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, home improvement stores, and on phone plan services
- 1x points on other purchases
Alternatively, you can transfer points to Choice Privileges from a few transferrable point programs:
1:1 transfers from Amex and Capital One aren't compelling. However, getting 2 Choice points for every point transferred from Citi or Wells Fargo can be an excellent use of your transferrable points.
Our Take
We're excited to see Choice add yet another airline transfer partner. Particularly with the option of transferring points in increments of 1,000 points, Choice is a good option if you’re just a few miles short of an award and want to top off your account.
But unless you're getting excellent value from an airline redemption, most travelers will still come out ahead using Choice points for hotel stays — especially in sweet-spot cities like Tokyo and Stockholm.
Still, it’s great to see Choice continue to expand its transfer options. While the 5:1 transfer ratio won't win any awards, having more ways to use your points adds flexibility — and that’s always a good thing. Just make sure to crunch the numbers before pulling the trigger on a transfer. In many cases, that free hotel night will stretch your points further than a few thousand airline miles.
