If you want to head to Ireland in style without breaking the bank, we’ve got just the deal for you. Business class seats on Aer Lingus to Dublin, Shannon, and beyond cost just 45,000 Alaska points each way. That’s a steal compared to what most programs charge for transatlantic business class, and the fact that availability is wide open through the end of 2025 makes this even better.
Right now, you’ll find award space from plenty of U.S. gateways, including newer routes from Cleveland, Denver, and Indianapolis. With flat-bed seats, priority check-in, lounge access, and Irish hospitality onboard, this is an easy way to get across the Atlantic without draining your points balance.
Here’s what you need to know about the deal and how to find the award space.

Book Aer Lingus Business Class to Europe From Just 45k Alaska Points
Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards (formerly known as Mileage Plan) uses a distance-based award chart for partner-operated flights, including Aer Lingus. Under this chart, business class itineraries between 1,501 and 3,500 miles price at 45,000 points, while flights between 3,501 and 5,000 miles cost 55,000 points.
Both are excellent deals, but the lower band is particularly lucrative. That 45,000-point sweet spot covers routes like Boston to Dublin, New York to Shannon, and a few others.
Taxes and fees are also very reasonable. You'll pay about $19 one-way from the U.S. to Ireland or roughly $75 round-trip. Even better, award space is wide open, with up to four seats available on many routes from September through December 2025.

How to Find and Book Cheap Aer Lingus Business Class Awards
Finding 45,000-point Aer Lingus business class award availability is quick and easy. If you’ve got a stash of Alaska Airlines points, just head to the Alaska website, enter your intended parameters, and click “Calendar view” to pull up the monthly view. You’ll see that the best availability is clustered between now and the end of the year from plenty of gateways, including Miami, Minneapolis, Chicago, and more.
Once you’re in the calendar, filter by business class on the left and you’ll see your options. Look for dates showing 45,000 to 55,000 points with low taxes and fees.

You can also use Seats.aero to speed things up. Here’s the direct link to the Explore page for Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards. Toggle the filters and set your arrival airport to Dublin or Shannon, or reverse the results if you’re searching for flights back to the U.S.

Remember you’ll only see availability up to 60 days out without a Pro membership, but you can pay $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year to search up to a year out and unlock extra features. It’s worth it in our opinion.
Once you find availability that works for you, the next step is to book. There’s no telling how long this wave of award space will stick around, so don’t wait too long if you find something you like.

Stretch your points and add a stopover
You should be able to connect on to mainland Europe for the same price, though the Ireland to Europe leg will probably be in coach. If you want, you can even tack on an Atmos Rewards stopover in Ireland for a few days before continuing on to somewhere like Paris, all for the same 45,000 points — as long as you stay within the same distance band.
Best Ways to Earn Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards Points
If you’re short on the Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points you need for this deal, don’t worry. There are plenty of ways to build your balance and make a business-class redemption happen.
- Credit paid flights on Alaska or eligible partner airlines to your Atmos Rewards account
- Use the Atmos Rewards shopping portal and dining rewards program
- Earn points through a welcome bonus and spending on co-branded credit cards like the Atmos™ Rewards Ascent Visa Signature® card or Atmos™ Rewards Visa Business Card
- Transfer Points from Bilt Rewards at a 1:1 ratio
Another quick way to grow your account is to buy Alaska points. We don’t usually recommend buying points without a promotion, but this could be one of the rare exceptions. Even at full price (3.76 cents each), buying 45,000 Alaska points costs about $1,700. Considering a one-way business class seat on the New York to Shannon route runs closer to $3,000, that’s a pretty great deal.

Bottom Line
If Ireland’s on your radar — whether you’re interested in seeing Dublin, the Cliffs of Moher, or planning a golf trip — there’s plenty of Aer Lingus award availability right now to help you get there. Earning or transferring miles to Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards and booking nonstop business class flights on Aer Lingus is one of the best ways to kick off your trip.
