It seems like every month, one of the world’s major hotel companies unveils a new brand. Late last year, Hilton introduced its latest concept — the Outset Collection — debuting in Moab, Utah.
The brand is aimed at travelers heading off the beaten path but who still want a few creature comforts — and Hilton Honors points — along the way. It also aligns with Hilton’s broader push into experience-driven travel, including its “Hilton Adventures” platform.
Here's everything we know so far about the Outset Collection by Hilton.
What Is the New Outset Collection Brand?
The Outset Collection is “designed for guests seeking soulful, independent hotel stays across adventure outposts, urban hotspots, small towns, and offbeat hubs,” according to Hilton. It's also Hilton's 25th brand.
The first Outset Collection property is Slackline Moab in Utah. It features trail-friendly meals, a gear shop, and free parking with EV charging.
ACME Hotel Chicago has also recently joined the collection. While not as nature-centric as the Slackline, ACME is an affordable option in the often-pricey River North district.

Elite Perks at the Outset Collection
Like other Hilton-affiliated properties, Outset Collection hotels participate in Hilton Honors. That means elite members can expect standard tier benefits, though specific upgrade availability may vary by property.
- Hilton Honors Silver: Complimentary Wi-Fi and two complimentary bottles of water
- Hilton Honors Gold: Space-available upgrades to preferred rooms
- Hilton Honors Diamond: Space-available upgrades, including select suites when available
- Hilton Honors Diamond Reserve: 4 p.m. late checkout and the ability to use confirmed upgrade certificates, subject to program terms
In addition, Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserves receive a MyWay bonus at check-in. Gold elites receive 750 bonus points for each stay, while Hilton Diamond elites receive 1,500 bonus points.
Looking for an easy way to score Hilton Honors Gold status? A Hilton credit card is going to be your best bet. Both of these cards offer cardmembers automatic Hilton Gold status:

(Terms Apply)
- 12X bonus points for each dollar of eligible purchases charged on your card directly with a hotel or resort within the Hilton portfolio
- 6X bonus points for each dollar of eligible purchases on your card at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations
- 4X bonus points on U.S online retail purchases
- 3X bonus points for all other eligible purchases on your card

(Terms apply)
- 12X Hilton Honors points on eligible purchases made directly with hotels and resorts in the Hilton portfolio
- 5X Hilton Honors points on the first $100,000 spent per calendar year on other eligible purchases; 3X thereafter
Now let's see what Hilton members earn when checking into an Outset hotel.
Earning Rates at the Outset Collection
Good news: earning rates at the Outset Collection match other full-service Hiltons in the program. Some limited-service brands in the Hilton portfolio earn below the noted rates. Thankfully, that's not the case with Outset.
Every Hilton member will earn 10 Hilton Honors points per dollar at the Outset Collection. If you have elite status, you'll also earn bonus Hilton points for your spend:
- Silver elites earn a 20% bonus on points, for a total of 12 points per dollar.
- Gold elites earn an 80% bonus on points, for a total of 18 points per dollar.
- Diamond elites earn a 100% bonus on points, for a total of 20 points per dollar.
- Diamond Reserve elites earn a 120% bonus on points, for a total of 22 points per dollar.
That's in addition to any Hilton Honors points you may earn from a co-branded credit card. Hilton also has frequent promotions that deliver solid bonus points to members.
How To Redeem at the Outset Collection
If you want to try out an Outset Collection property, the good news is it's pretty reasonable if you pick the correct dates. The two open properties are located in cities with a distinct on- and off-season.
At ACME Hotel Chicago, standard room awards can start around 25,000 Hilton Honors points per night in the dead of winter and climb to 60,000 points during peak summer dates. With winter cash rates under $80, redeeming 25,000 points yields roughly 0.32 cents per point — well below the 0.59-cent average redemption value AwardWallet users report for Hilton Honors points. However, if you can find standard award availability during busy summer dates, you may be able to extract above-average value.
Hilton Honors members with Silver status or higher receive the fifth night free on standard-room award stays. For example, a five-night stay pricing at 23,000 points per night would cost 92,000 points total — effectively 18,400 points per night.

Bottom Line
The Outset Collection reflects Hilton's move to capture adventure-focused travelers. Many want to visit the outdoors or smaller-market cities while still earning their Hilton points and receiving elite benefits.
As the Outset Collection continues to grow, As the Outset Collection grows, it will be worth watching which new properties join the brand and how consistently they deliver Hilton Honors benefits.
