Most points and miles enthusiasts probably already know the best travel rewards card to use when booking a ride or ordering delivery. But fewer travelers take the next step: directly connecting their rideshare accounts to their preferred airline and hotel loyalty programs.

When you connect your accounts, you’ll still earn credit card rewards. Plus, by linking your accounts, you will also earn bonus miles or points with select airline and hotel loyalty programs on each trip or delivery.

Between Lyft and Uber, there are currently six programs you can link to earn rewards on rides and delivery orders. FREENOW occasionally provides additional options for travelers moving through Europe. This guide covers current partnerships, how many miles or points you can earn with each, and which are worth prioritizing.

Earning Points and Miles with Lyft

Lyft currently partners with four loyalty programs: United MileagePlus, Hilton Honors, Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards, and Bilt Rewards. You can only link one program to your Lyft account at a time, so you'll need to decide which loyalty program is most useful before you do so.

For a deeper look at every Lyft earning opportunity — including the best credit cards to use — check out our full guide to Lyft partnerships and all of the Lyft benefits via credit cards.

Earn United MileagePlus miles with Lyft

United and Lyft launched their partnership in November 2025. How you’ll earn miles depends on the ride type:

  • 1 mile per $1 on Standard, Priority Pickup, and XL rides
  • 2 miles per $1 on Lyft business profile rides
  • 3 miles per $1 on Extra Comfort, Lyft Black, Black SUV, and on-demand airport rides
  • 4 miles per $1 on scheduled airport rides

New Lyft members who link their MileagePlus account and complete two rides within 30 days will earn 1,000 bonus miles.

Note that the 4X rate for airport rides applies only to scheduled trips, not to on-demand bookings. And scheduled airport rides are typically more expensive.

United also plans to let members redeem MileagePlus miles directly in the Lyft app starting in early 2026, though redemption rates haven't been announced.

You can connect your United and Lyft accounts in the Lyft app or by visiting the United-Lyft partnership page.

Earn Hilton Honors points with Lyft

Lyft also partners with Hilton Honors. Like in the case of earning MileagePlus miles, how you’ll earn Hilton points depends on the ride you book:

  • 3 points per $1 on standard, luxury, and extra-seat rides
  • 2 points per $1 on shared rides

Watch out, big spenders: You will only earn Hilton Honors points on the first $10,000 in Lyft spend per calendar year. You can connect your Hilton and Lyft accounts in the Lyft app or by clicking through the Hilton-Lyft partnership page.

You can also redeem your Hilton Honors points for Lyft credit. However, this yields terrible value compared to using those points for a stay at a Hilton property. Redeeming your points for Lyft credit is only at a rate of 0.22 cents each. That's around one-third of what you'll get when you redeem points for hotel stays. In recent redemptions, AwardWallet users have averaged 0.59¢ per Hilton Honors point.

Earn Atmos Rewards points with Lyft

You can also earn points through Alaska Atmos Rewards' partnership with Lyft. With Hawaiian Airlines now participating in Alaska’s Atmos program, this means you can also earn rewards with Hawaiian Airlines. Here’s how you’ll earn Atmos points when riding with Lyft:

  • 3 points per $1 on airport and elevated ride options
  • 2 points per $1 on everyday rides

To link your Atmos Rewards and Lyft accounts, open the Lyft app or access the official partnership portal.

Earn Bilt Rewards with Lyft

Bilt members link their account to Lyft to earn 2 Bilt Points per $1 on Lyft rides.

Bilt's 24 transfer partners — including Marriott Bonvoy and United Airlines — make it one of the more flexible currencies you can earn when using rideshare apps.

Bilt also lets members redeem points in the Lyft app to pay for rides, though the in-app redemption value is roughly 0.7 cents per point which is significantly below typical transfer values. If you're sitting on Bilt Points, transferring to a partner program will generally yield better value.

Earn even more with Lyft Business Rewards

If your company has a Lyft Business account and you book rides under your business profile, earning rates jump significantly. Business members earn Lyft Cash automatically with no auto-reload required. Plus, business rides will also earn additional miles or points with partners. Here's how you'll earn Lyft Cash with a Business account:

  • 6% Lyft Cash on standard rides (Standard, Priority Pickup, XL, Pet, Wheelchair, Green)
  • 8% Lyft Cash on premium rides (Black, Black SUV, Extra Comfort) and airport/scheduled rides

As mentioned, partner earning rates generally increase under a business profile:

  • United MileagePlus: 2–4 miles per $1 (vs. 1–2 on personal)
  • Hilton Honors: 6 points per $1 (vs. 3 on personal)
  • Alaska Airlines (Atmos): 4–6 points per $1 (vs. 2–3 on personal)

Note: Earning Bilt Rewards is not available through the Lyft Business program.

Lyft Cash earned on business rides must be used within 60 days. For everything you need to know about setting up and maximizing the program check out our guide to the Lyft Business Rewards program.

How to Link a Loyalty Program to Your Lyft Account

To link your United, Hilton, Atmos Rewards, or Bilt loyalty program to your Lyft account, start by opening the Lyft app and find your account. Under programs, select “Rewards.”

From there, scroll down or head to the “Partners” tab. You'll see all the loyalty programs available to link to, including which one you're currently earning points on Lyft rides with if you've already linked an account. Select “Manage.”

Earning Lyft points with airline and hotel partners

Here, you'll have the option to link your accounts, if you haven't already, and select which one you want to earn points or miles on Lyft points with. Note that you can change the loyalty program at any time.

Earning Points and Miles with Uber

Within the U.S., Uber currently partners with just two loyalty programs: Delta SkyMiles and Marriott Bonvoy. Only one program can be active as your earning partner. However, you can easily switch between them in the Uber app under Account → Settings → Partner Rewards. It may take up to one hour for this change to take effect, and changes are not retroactive.

How to link your Uber and airline and hotel loyalty accounts

In addition, Uber maintains partnerships with additional airlines. However, these partnerships are only available to users in select regions. Here are some of the other Uber partnerships and who can take advantage of these:

  • Air Canada Aeroplan: Available to Uber accounts in Canada and allows members to earn points with Aeroplan on select rides and Uber Eats orders.
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue: This partnership is available to Uber users globally. However, if you choose to link your Air France-KLM Flying Blue accounts, you will only earn miles on rides in France and the Netherlands.
  • Emirates Skywards: Members in the UAE can earn and redeem Skywards miles with Uber. Members based in the United States can however, earn miles on Uber Eats orders.
  • British Airways The Club: Available to Uber accounts in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Eligible accounts can link their Uber and British Airways Club accounts to earn Avios on rides within the UK and Ireland.
  • Qantas Frequent Flyer: Travelers can earn Qantas points on rides to/from the airport in Australia. The earning rate is 1x point per A$1 spent on Reserve rides and 1x point for every A$2 spent on all other airport rides.

Here are the two loyalty programs that partner with Uber in the United States:

Earn Delta SkyMiles with Uber

Delta ended its eight-year Lyft partnership in April 2025 and partnered up with Uber instead. Here’s how you’ll earn SkyMiles with Uber and Uber Eats:

  • 3 miles per $1 on Uber Reserve
  • 2 miles per $1 on Uber XL, Comfort, Black, and Black SUV
  • 1 mile per $1 on UberX rides to and from airports
  • 1 mile per $1 on Uber Eats orders of $40 or more

Rides booked through family profiles, teen accounts, or the guest rides feature do not earn SkyMiles. To activate, select Delta as your primary loyalty partner in the Uber app—no action needed in your SkyMiles account.

Earn Marriott Bonvoy points with Uber

Marriott’s partnership with Uber has been going strong for around 5 years now. Bonvoy members can link accounts to earn points on premium Uber rides and qualifying Uber Eats orders:

  • 3 points per $1 on premium rides (Uber XL, Black, SUV, Comfort, Reserve) in the U.S.
  • 2 points per $1 on UberX Reserve rides
  • 2 points per $1 on Uber Eats orders delivered to select Marriott properties (Residence Inn and Element; $40 minimum applies)
  • 1 point per $1 on other Uber Eats orders ($40 minimum)

If you haven’t already linked your accounts, you may want to wait. Marriott will occasionally run promotions in which members can earn up to 3,000 bonus Bonvoy points (1,500 for linking + 1,500 after a qualifying premium ride).

To link your accounts: open Uber → Settings → Partner Rewards → Marriott Bonvoy and sign in with your Marriott credentials.

Earn Points and Miles with FREENOW Partners

FREENOW (formerly Mytaxi) is a ride-hailing app that operates in major European cities, including London, Dublin, Frankfurt, and Barcelona.

As of publishing, FREENOW does not currently partner with any airlines or hotels. Still, if your travel takes you through Europe, it's worth checking the FREENOW app for active loyalty partnerships before your trip.

Past FREENOW partners include British Airways Club and Lufthansa Miles & More. Even then, partner availability varied by market.

Earn Points & Miles on Food Delivery

With the exception of Uber Eats, loyalty program partnerships for food delivery services are more limited than on the rideshare side. Here are a few noteworthy partnerships and promotions for food delivery apps:

  • Uber Eats: If you've linked your Delta SkyMiles or Marriott Bonvoy accounts to your Uber account, this partnership includes qualifying Uber Eats orders of $40 or more (see the Uber section above). No separate setup is required.
  • DoorDash: The main way you’ll earn rewards with DoorDash is exclusively through using the right credit card. The Chase Sapphire Reserve® provides an annual DoorDash statement credit and complimentary DashPass. The American Express® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards on dining purchases, which includes DoorDash orders. Shopping portals like Rakuten can occasionally add a layer of cash back or points.
  • Limited Time DoorDash Promotion: For a limited time, DoorDash is running a promotion available to Chase World of Hyatt cardholders. This promotion runs through April 22, 2026 and allows eligible cardholders to earn 3x points on DoorDash purchases plus a one-time 50% discount (up to $10 off) on a delivery to a participating Hyatt property in the United States or Canada.
  • GrubHub Onsite Program: While you won’t earn points or miles through GrubHub Onsite, you can enjoy $0 delivery fees when staying at select hotels. The brands that currently participate in this program are Hilton (Hampton, Home2, Homewood Suites, Tru, and Spark properties) and Wyndham.

Which Program Should You Pick to Earn Points or Miles on Rideshares?

Ultimately, the best program for earning with rideshare apps depends on your preferred rideshare provider and preferred airline and hotel loyalty program.

If you’re looking to get flexible value from rideshare apps, Bilt’s partnership with Lyft is the standout option. The ability to transfer to 23+ partners at 1:1 makes this the most versatile option, especially for Bilt Mastercard holders.

Plus, if you tend to use both major rideshare apps, you don’t have to settle on only earning with one program. You can pick your preferred airline with Lyft (United or Alaska/Hawaiian) and still earn Delta SkyMiles with Uber. The same applies for hotels in which you can earn Hilton Honors points with Lyft and Marriott Bonvoy points with Uber. As a reminder, both apps allow you to have only one active partner selected at a time.

Note for All Partnerships: One final note that applies to all partnerships covered in this guide – you will only earn points or miles on the fare or delivery cart subtotal. That is, you won’t earn points or miles on any taxes, fees, or tips.

Bottom Line

Linking a loyalty program to Lyft or Uber takes—at most—a few minutes and is one of the simplest ways to earn miles or points on something many of us already spend money on. When making the decision as to which program to earn with, the right choice depends on which program you prefer. That said, Bilt Rewards' partnership with Lyft offers the most flexibility of the programs covered in this guide.

One thing to keep in mind: Both Lyft and Uber allow only one linked loyalty program at a time. Review the current earning rates before you link and revisit your choice if your travel patterns shift or a new partnership launches.
