Qantas Airways has a new promotion to earn double points on flights from London to Australia, but you have to book by June 25, 2025. This is only one route and a very narrow booking window, but the rewards can really stack up. Here are the details.

Qantas Promotion for 2X Status Credits or 2X Points

Qantas Frequent Flyer members have a great promotion this week, though with a very short booking window. Qantas had a similar promotion last year, but with far more flexibility in routes.

First, you will need to register for this promotion online or in the latest version of the Qantas app. After registering, book an eligible flight from London to Australia by June 25, 2025. You will receive double Qantas points on your flight. Eligible travel dates are between June 26, 2025, and June 13, 2026.

Qantas Double Points London to Australia 2025 Promotion

This promotion has no limit to how many flights you can book or how many bonuses you can earn. Eligible flights are those marketed and operated by Qantas, departing from London and arriving at an airport in Australia.

Last year, Qantas Business Rewards members could register for this promotion with both personal and business accounts and earn double rewards in each account. It's not clear if that option is still available this year.

As long as the flight is booked by June 25, members need not pay for the flight right away. If you're strapped for cash, you can use the Book Now, Pay Later feature. As long as you book before June 25 and pay by the advised payment due date, you will earn the applicable bonus on your flight. Flights booked with a gift voucher are also eligible for this promotion.

London to Australia flight examples

Qantas has the only direct flight from London to Australia, specifically landing in Perth, Western Australia. However, any flight from London to Australia, operated by Qantas, is eligible for this promotion.

Qantas Flights London to Australia Examples

For example, fly London to Sydney via Singapore for 62,000 total bonus points (31,000 points doubled). You could also fly from London to Melbourne via Singapore for 80,600 total Qantas points (40.300 base points doubled).

Key terms

  • Register for this promotion and book before June 25, 2025.
  • Fly between June 26, 2025, and June 13, 2026.
  • Receive the bonus points within 8 weeks of completing eligible flights.
  • Only flights operated by Qantas (with a QF flight number) between London and Australia are eligible.
  • Flights booked with a gift voucher or Book Now, Pay Later are eligible to earn double rewards.

Our Take

This is a great promotion for Qantas Frequent Flyer members, but keep in mind the very short booking window. Thankfully, the eligible travel period is nearly an entire year. And if you can't front the money for the flights now, you can always use the Book Now, Pay Later feature.

Keep in mind that this promotion is a bit restrictive, in that you must depart from London, UK. If you're departing from the US, you could just as easily book a direct flight with Qantas from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, or New York to Australia. But you won't earn double Qantas points on those flights.
