Air Canada Aeroplan is offering a discount when you book hotel stays or car rentals using at least 60,000 Aeroplan points. Aeroplan members must complete their booking by December 5, 2025 and use promo code BONVOYAGE. You can book travel for any future travel date.
The biggest limitation is that travelers need to have enough Aeroplan points in their account to cover the entire booking — before the discount — in order to apply the promo code.
If you only redeemed the minimum number of points (60,000), you'll effectively receive a 25% discount. The more you redeem, the smaller the effective discount rate. For instance, if you redeem 75,000 points, you'll still receive just a 15,000 discount — dropping the effective discount to 20%.

Aeroplan periodically offers promotions to incentivize using your Aeroplan points for hotel bookings and car rentals. This promotion's up to 25% discount is solid on its face, but it's worth doing the math to see if it really makes sense to redeem your Aeroplan points this way.
Maximizing value takes some effort, but if you have upcoming travel plans, it's worth crunching the numbers to see if this works in your favor. If the math doesn’t add up, you're likely better off holding onto your points for a high-value flight redemption.
