Why the Deal Works For Alaska

The latest team-up makes perfect sense for both airlines. From Alaska's perspective, the airline operates routes from the Contiguous US to Kahului (Maui), Kona (Hawaii), Lihue (Kauai), and Honolulu (Oahu). However, once Alaska's travelers arrive, Alaska can't serve them further. By partnering up with Mokulele Airlines, Alaska can service its customers throughout their entire trip. Not only to and from Hawaii but also between any of the islands.

From Mokulele Airlines' side of things, the deal also makes a lot of sense. Teaming up with a much bigger airline like Alaska should drive more passengers their way. As a result, Mokulele Airlines can leverage Alaska's customer base to generate more business for itself!

Our Take

This latest is great news, especially if you are an Alaska fan and a regular in Hawaii. The opportunity to earn miles for every flight of your trip is great news. While the ability to earn miles is great, it will be even more enticing if you could redeem your Alaska miles for flights on Mokulele Airlines through this new partnership.
