There's a brand-new Alaska Airlines partner in town, and it goes by the name of Philippine Airlines. With this addition, the Mileage Plan partner list is nearing three dozen. Philippine Airlines is the 32nd carrier to partner with Alaska.
Here’s what to know about Alaska’s newest partner and when you’ll be able to start earning and redeeming miles on Philippine Airlines flights.
Alaska Airlines Introduces Its Newest Partner: Philippine Airlines
On May 1, 2025, Alaska Airlines officially announced Philippine Airlines as the 32nd partner of the Mileage Plan program. Because of this new partnership, Mileage Plan members will soon be able to take advantage of Philippine Airlines’ route network between the U.S. and the Philippines, as well as onward connections throughout Asia.
Sometime soon (the exact date is unknown), Alaska will start listing Philippine Airlines flights on its website. This will include non-stop routes from Honolulu and major West Coast airports, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle, to Manila and beyond.
What’s interesting is that Philippine Airlines also operates flights from Toronto and New York to Manila. However, it’s unclear if these routes will be included in the partnership. Alaska’s announcement only highlighted service from the West Coast.

Coming soon: Earn and redeem Alaska Miles on Philippine Airlines flights
Once live, Mileage Plan members will be able to earn and redeem miles on Philippine Airlines flights. While the earning rates haven’t been published yet, we do have a sense of what award pricing will look like.
Alaska uses distance-based partner award charts, and for flights between North America and the Asia Pacific region, the chart currently looks like this:
Distance (miles) | Economy (starting at) | Premium Economy (starting at) | Business (starting at) | First (starting at) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Less than 1,500 | 7,500 | 10,000 | 15,000 | 22,500 |
1,501–3,000 | 25,000 | 32,500 | 50,000 | 75,000 |
3,001–5,000 | 30,000 | 40,000 | 60,000 | 90,000 |
5,001–7,000 | 37,500 | 50,000 | 75,000 | 110,000 |
7,001–10,000 | 42,500 | 55,000 | 85,000 | 130,000 |
10,000 and above | 65,000 | 85,000 | 130,000 | 195,000 |
Assuming Alaska applies this chart to Philippine Airlines award flights, you should soon be able to book a one-way ticket from the West Coast to Manila for 42,500 miles in economy or 85,000 miles in business class.
