AwardWallet supports over 650 loyalty programs. We support these programs through various methods of communication, but when it comes to ease of integration, we're always looking for technology to help. The magic we look for is called an API. Simply put, an API is a set of instructions and tools that we can use to connect to a data source to retrieve data. In our case, we're looking for APIs that allow us to retrieve loyalty and rewards information. For you non-geeks, check out a great video explaining APIs in plain English.
Partnership with Capital One
While we'd love to use a nicely built API for all of our communications we're not that lucky, however, we do have a few partners, and we're excited to announce AwardWallet's partnership with Capital One through their DevExchange program. The Capital One DevExchange program allows us to retrieve loyalty account information on behalf of our users from Capital One customers that have earned miles, points or cash in any of their linked rewards cards.
“Signing up for DevExchange and getting the API integrated was a snap … The API design, documentation, and support is some of the best we have seen.” -Alexi Vereschaga, CTO of AwardWallet.com
We worked hand-in-hand with the Capital One team through months of testing, quality assurance, and regular security reviews to ensure our mutual customers and their data is always protected.
If you've got a Capital One rewards earning credit card, you can securely connect your cards to AwardWallet.
