Eligibility is limited for the Amex Offers discussed in this post. Enrollment is required in the Amex Offers section of your account before redeeming.
For years, American Express' Amex Offers was the biggest name when it came to online shopping rebates. Slowly, other banks have hopped on the bandwagon with their own programs. In fact, you can find offers from nearly all of the big banks these days. Capital One just so happens to be one of those banks.
Capital One has expanded its Capital One Offers option for cardholders, providing access to additional customers over the years. And that's not the only improement. While the selections were initially slim, Capital One has upped its game, expanding and adding more retailers to its lineup.
So, what are Capital One Offers, how do you use them, and should you even care? Here's everything you should know.

How To Use Capital One Offers
Capital One Offers is similar to other bank rewards shopping programs in that you can earn cash back when shopping. However, that's where the similarities end. Unlike Citi Merchant Offers, Chase Offers, and Amex Offers, Capital One Offers is essentially a shopping portal.
This means that when you navigate to a store's website via the Capital One Offers page and make a purchase, you earn cash back, thanks to a reciprocal agreement the store has with the referring company. In this case, that's Capital One.
All you need to do to utilize Capital One Offers is log in to your Capital One account. On your dashboard, offers are listed at the bottom of your screen near or below your CreditWise summary — front and center. As the photo below shows, it will say Credits for Shopping but has a link that reads “View All offers” on the bottom.

Once you click on “View All Offers,” you'll be taken to a page that shows you some of the hundreds of stores available. If you're already logged in, you also can try navigating to capitaloneoffers.com.
From here, scroll down and peruse the stores or, if you have a specific store in mind, you can search for it in the search box. This page also allows you to filter the search results by categories, limited-time offers, new stores, apparel, travel & entertainment, home, and general retail. The screenshot below shows you what to expect from the Capital One Offers page.

If the merchant is unavailable, Capital One will not show any results.
Once you select your retailer (we are using Lululemon for this example), you will be taken to a new page that shows the terms and conditions of the offer. On this page, you can see merchant details, how to receive the rebate, what a qualifying purchase is, how the rebate is calculated, and the disclaimer.
Select “Continue to Merchant” once you have confirmed your eligibility.

Now, you are ready to go. Just make sure that you complete the entire transaction through the link that will open a new screen. If you accidentally close the link, go back to the offer page where you'll find the link again. It's imperative that you complete your purchase(s) through the link from Capital One Offers. If you open a new page and make your purchase through that, you will not be eligible for cash back. That's because the alternate page does not include a tracking link.
Capital One Offers vs. Capital One Shopping
This is where things can get a little confusing. In addition to Capital One Offers, Capital One also has Capital One Shopping, which is available to everyone — even those without a Capital One credit card. This portal is similar to Rakuten.

Capital One Shopping also comes with a shopping portal feature to earn cash back at a variety of retailers. Additionally, you can download the free browser extension, which will automatically apply coupons to your eligible purchases. Finally, you can attach your email to your Capital One Shopping account to access the Price Protection feature. If Capital One detects a lower price on your purchase, it will help you receive a refund for the price difference.
With Capital One Shopping, anyone can utilize its features. It's public. Capital One Offers are only available to those who have Capital One credit cards.
Stacking Capital One Offers
Unlike Amex Offers, you can't stack Capital One Offers with other shopping portal bonuses. But this isn't necessarily a dealbreaker. The Capital One Offer could potentially be much more lucrative than any other stacking options out there. It's up to you to do the math.
You'll also need to read through the terms and conditions to ensure that using any coupons you might have won't void your cash back.
Finally, always make sure to check out CashbackMonitor and compare rates before committing to the Capital One Offers page. Shopping portals are constantly changing their rates, so make sure you are getting the best return.
Credit Cards Eligible for Capital One Offers
U.S.-issued personal Capital One credit cards are eligible for Capital One Offers. This includes cards that earn Capital One miles as well as cash back. Unfortunately, Capital One business cards are not eligible. Cards you can use to access Capital One Offers include::
- Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
Regardless of whether the card you carry earns rewards or cash back, you'll receive cash back with a Capital One Offer.
Final Thoughts
If you have an eligible Capital One card and need to make an online purchase, make sure to check out Capital One Offers beforehand. More and more retailers are being added all the time, so it's worth checking out the available offers. Make sure you aren't leaving money on the table by ignoring cash back from your online shopping.
