Our Take
If 12,000 miles gets you round-trip anywhere in the lower 48, Alaska and Canada is a pretty sweet deal if you can make it happen; Seattle and Portland are both great cities, so give em a shot. The fact that these cities actually have decent service from Delta make it that much better. Fingers crossed this deal work for you.

Planning a trip to UK from SFO. better to fly all the way on delta or split it up? (we have plenty of AA and Southwest miles too)
Depends on the price. Splitting it up means you’ve gotta deal with bags and different airlines — more complexity.
Love this I really have good luck.
I was gonna book 3 tickets to Portland for a friends wedding and I was gonna book it already a while back in the end something came up and we weren’t gonna go, but last minute we decided to go… so I booked yesterday morning through delta it was a real close call!
Thanks!
Nice! The pacific northwest is on the top of my places to visit!
Thanks for the head’s up. We’ll be checking it out!
Portland’s a good base for exploring the area.
As a platinum member, I was able to get Delta to refund points on a previously reserved award ticket due to the new rates.
Interesting. Did they cancel / rebook or simply provide a credit of miles back to your account?
I just bought a Seattle ticket on Delta yesterday!
This definitely is a fantastic sale! Even though I’ve been to both cities before, I wouldn’t mind spending more time in Portland or Seattle!
Seattle is a great visit option.
Perfect timing for me
Got an event in Portland in May
Another round of jabs at AS. Hope the consumer wins ultimately.
This is a great deal and it might actually fit into my travel plans! I appreciate these articles for letting me know about these sales. I’m surprised that I don’t get any notification from Delta about them.
Check your email settings in your Delta profile. This came as an email to me yesterday.
I got this in an email from Delta, and it said it’s only for Medallion members.
Hey that’s so cool! My brother lives in Portland and had a baby yesterday. I will definitely be booking 4 tickets at delta.com!
Thank you!
Congrats all around! Happy travels!
I have family living in Alaska and Seattle is my gateway airport so the notion of getting to SEA for less miles is very attractive.
Not a bad deal. I’ll have to let my friends with Seattle connections know.
I liked seeing 9,500 skymiles to Central America last month.
