What Is A SYW Point Worth?
$2 translates to 2,000 SYW points. Each point is worth $0.001 or a tenth (1/10th) of a penny. Note: While the 2,000-point earning transaction below indicates it was a “ride,” this was, in fact, an Uber Eats bonus.
How To Redeem Your SYW Points?
You can redeem your Shop Your Way points at ShopYourWay.com for electronics, entertainment, clothing and more. All you need to do is head over to ShopYourWay.com, log in to your account and then go to Redeem. Shop as you typically would, and at the checkout, you have the option of using your points to pay. Additionally, you can use your points at Sears, Kmart, and Lands’ End, both instore and online. More information is available within the SYW FAQ. Here's what the checkout process looks like for ShopYourWay.com:

Our Take
This is the type of promotion that we love; link your Uber and SYW accounts, and you'll earn. You don't need to click through a special link with Uber, and you don't need to pick a specific card. Register and you're good! The more you ride, and the more you order takeout, the faster your points balance will grow.

@Morie says: “Seems like the redemptions are limited to stores that are in perpetual bankruptcy”
Yes, although that’s been their state for some time, best to collect the SYW Rewards but don’t bank them. Safest to spend them almost as quickly as you acquire them.
I’ve never heard of Shop Your Way. I’ll check it out.
I like uber and use a few times per month .It is a nice offer , but not available everywhere.
Yet another portal or way to shop, its difficult to keep track! I’m glad award wallet will hopefully keep me organized. It free points even though, im not sure ill have the opportunity to use them very much. Ill connect my Uber account at least and see what happens. Thanks for info.
nice offer, these ones are always welcome
Thanks for the headsup! NOt sure how long SYW points will last but let’s earn them while we can!
nice offer
I can confirm that the Shop Your Way points credit seamlessly and build up fast when one uses Uber extensively, as I do on business travel. It allows me to buy extravagant toys from Kmart for the kids to make up for being away and everyone is happy! Beware that Sears-Kmart is on last legs, so spend your points frequently and don’t let too big of a balance accumulate, lest you lose it all.
Given the expiration policy and that Sears isn’t shuttering their doors in the next month, I think it is safe.
Well, it’s definitely better than nothing.
I always forget to do this. Question for SYWR users: are you able to just constantly go to sears and pick up small items for 100% free without ever spending anything? Or does it require a minimum amount of spending in order to redeem?
the former, just constantly redeem.
Eh not interested in Uber. I prefer Lyft and only take Uber when I have to.
how quick do the points show up in your account?
Based on my experience, same day 100% of the time.
Every drop helps! Thanks.
At last a way to get a little back when using Uber products, we use uber a lot so this will come in very handy.
Definitely like points programs that allow you to earn extra points on normal activity without jumping through hoops. However I just can’t see a reason to get into SYW points. Seems like the redemptions are limited to stores that are in perpetual bankruptcy, and I don’t need points to buy a pack of batteries. Maybe someone can enlighten me, what’s the use? This seems about as worthless as Plenti points were.
Both of your “link your Uber and SYW accounts” links above are dead/ lead to 404!
It is fixed; sorry about that!
Thanks for the heads up!
always had problems with uber
Thank you for this information, I was not aware of this offer.
Such a shame that Uber is being shut down in many cities in Europe. 🙁
Thats great! But…does it work in Germany too?
From the T&C’s:
Try linking your accounts and let us know how you get on.
Any possibility of earning points is a good thing, though I do prefer to earn airline miles or flexible points — I want to earn experiences rather than more stuff to clutter my house. I miss the days when we could earn SPG points for Uber. I use Lyft almost all the time now because of the Delta Miles. I’ll have to think about whether it’s worthwhile earning points in another program. Especially as the points expire quickly — Though I would definitely have awardwallet keep track. Thanks, as always, for the good info
Nice to see options expand
Sears (SYW) keeps giving me points for nothing. I don’t understand how free merchandise helps them stay in business.
Sounds great!
Interesting article. I had never heard of Shop Your Way.
I like uber but it’s not available everywhere.
Not bad, this could add up quickly if you Uber a lot
Every little bit helps. Thanks.
I tried Uber recently for the first time and was very impressed. The prospect of getting points makes it even better!
what if you earn membership rewards points. can you do both?
