This week, Emirates has announced that it will be offering their first class passengers a taste of the A-list lifestyle with complimentary helicopter transport to the playground of the rich and famous, Monaco for their flights to Nice. The Emirates helicopter transport announcement comes amidst a busy week dealing with the electronics ban; Emirates has clearly kept its eye on improving and enhancing the service it offers its passengers.
Helicopter Transport Details
Emirates will be offering First class passengers a complimentary helicopter trip from Nice, France to Monaco. The move comes on the heels of Emirates upgrading the service from Dubai to Nice as of July 1, 2017, when the company will start operating the route with Airbus A380, instead of the current Boeing 777-300ER. Emirates has partnered with Monacair to provide the 6-minute helicopter ride from Nice Airport to Monaco. To complement the luxury experience, passengers will also be offered a chauffeur driven Limo service from Monaco’s Heliport to their final destination in the principality.
For those who are not traveling First class and still want a taste of the Emirates high life, you can enjoy the same Helicopter and Limousine service to Monaco for a fee; Emirates is pricing the service as follows:
- First Class, Complimentary
- Business Class, €79 per passenger
- Economy Class, €109 per passenger
Final Thoughts
In addition to the Chauffeur-drive experience that Emirates provides, this is another great step from Emirates in upping its game and cementing its reputation as a leader in the premium luxury market. Although the helicopter flight only takes 6 minutes, it can still save you some time, with normal drive times from Nice to Monaco being around 30-40 minutes. Overall in a difficult week, Emirates has once again stepped up and delivered.

Nice. Very nice. 😉
This is something all airlines should look into merging into their programs.
I always wondered why airlines don’t code-share with these helicopter flights.
Wow, this is awesome. Might be worth the €79/€109, even if you don’t fly first.
these Helicopter Rides are free for F-Passangers…Would you think, its worth the Trip?
Wow! I assume this also counts for award tickets right? What are good points to get award tickets if they do count?
They haven’t explicitly said, but I think it is safe to assume they would not.
Shame would be great to experience that through points
Will it apply to award tickets too?
This information isn’t published, however I would *guess* it would not.
Not a bad deal, even if paying as a J passenger. Of course, how many blog readers are flying from Dubai to Nice? 🙂
?
What a cool service!
that sounds like a sweet deal
oh, wow. this is actually looking exciting.
Very interesting. I wonder if at some point you could use miles for this…
I like this! Great service!
Emirates is always working to improve passenger experience. Way to go. Looking forward to a trip to Milan.
I’m guessing this is a no, but are there any other airlines that offer a helicopter service for premium customers? I’ve never heard of this idea being used.
I’ve never heard of it either.
This is a first.
Does EK provide this helicopter service to F pax on partner award tickets as well?
As of now this information hasn’t been published. I would *guess* that award ticket passengers wouldn’t be eligible.
Pax on award tickets aren’t even eligible for chauffeured cars any longer; no way award tickets would be granted free helicopter transfers. Still, for €79/pp I’d totally pay for it!
Great job from Emirates on stepping it up for First class customers!
