The promotion for those interested in earning Emirates Skywards miles with their IHG stays is back. Travelers can get triple Skywards miles on IHG stays booked by November 22, 2023 for stays completed before February 29, 2024, but there are conditions. Here are the details.

Triple Skywards Miles with IHG Stays Promotion

IHG and Emirates SkyMiles 3X Promotion

When staying at IHG properties, you can choose to earn Emirates Skywards miles instead of IHG One Rewards points. Normally, you can earn 1–2 Emirates Skywards miles per dollar — depending on the IHG brand. However, this promotion boosts those earnings threefold.

After registering for this promotion, Skywards members will earn triple miles on stays at IHG hotels through February 29, 2024. The qualifying stay must be booked before November 22, 2023. Qualifying stays can be any length or rate as long as the stay qualifies for bonus points/miles. That means reward stays aren't eligible.

Earnings vary by hotel brand. Stays at the following brands typically earn 1 mile per dollar, but that's increased to 3 miles per dollar for the duration of this promotion:

  • Candlewood Suites
  • Staybridge Suites
  • Atwell Suites
  • The Venetian / The Palazzo Las Vegas

Earnings at these brands are increased from 2 to 6 miles per dollar with the promotion:

  • InterContinental Hotels & Resorts
  • Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants
  • Regent
  • Hualuxe Hotels and Resorts
  • Crowne Plaza
  • Hotel Indigo
  • EVEN Hotels
  • voco
  • Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Holiday Inn Club Vacations
  • avid Hotels
  • Vignette Collection hotels

Remember that choosing to earn Emirates Skywards miles or IHG points is a one-or-the-other choice. Members can't double-dip with this promotion (like you can with the Accor-Qatar double-dip opportunity).

  • Third-party bookings are not eligible.

Our Take

Members need to decide whether they want to earn Skywards miles with their IHG stays instead of IHG points and elite night credits. In some cases, travelers will prefer to build up their Skywards balance with this promotion. But most travelers should stick to earning IHG points on IHG stays.

If you are one of the members who prefer to earn Skywards miles, then you'll probably want to take advantage of this promotion. Make sure to read our guide to the best use of Skywards miles.

AwardWallet Tip of The Day
Did you know that you have a personal referral link in your AwardWallet profile? If you invite people to AwardWallet using your referral link, you will receive an AwardWallet upgrade coupon for every five members you invite. Also, if these users upgrade to AwardWallet Plus, we will credit your AwardWallet account with AwardWallet Bonus points, which can be redeemed for points and miles in your program of choice. We spend roughly 50% of the revenue we receive from those referrals to purchase those miles for you. All of this can be tracked via the Invite to AwardWallet widget in the left navigation bar on your Accounts page.
